I have to say I am impressed that such a simple looking things works so well. I see people saying its good not great - but I disagree. Its great - you just need to learn good technique. First, I am using an 8hp shop vac, so I know the suction is there. There is a literally a sweet spot that you can see in how it picks up the rinse water. You can see it as you go, I can't really explain it. I follow his youtube video from 7 years ago and I had amazing results. I think he should sell the paint edger with it, it makes a difference. I cleaned 50+ records that were in a basement for 30+ years. Some were moldy, some were so bad I think there was hope. I didnt listen to all 50 yet, but the ones I have I couldnt believe how good they sounded. Is it a piece a of PVC and some pads? Yes. But for what it is, it works well and is a fraction the cost of other vacs. I 100% recommend.

The cleaner concentrate mixed well with distilled water. It covered record surface evenly & did a good job removing dirt. However, to use effectively requires lots of other equipment not the least of which is a wet-dry vacuum unit. The Vinyl Vac itself worked well removing the cleaner & rinse from record surface but, still requires a rack to place record on to finish drying. The instructions were brief & left open for interpretation on best method of use. The main problem I had was holding the other end (where vacuum hose attaches) level so it could evenly remove liquid from surface. It requires some practice. A stationary mount for it would be very helpful.

I don't know if its the suction PVC or my skill level for me it didn't work out. Left stuff behind on the record.
