MILWAUKEE M18 FUEL String Trimmer 2825-20ST Bare tool (Battery and Charger sold Separately) (Renewed)

I have waited for 3 summers to go by to do this review to get good information on this. I have been involved selling and servicing gas weed eaters for more than 30 years. Our family business started selling the original "Weed Eaters" when I was young so over 35 years I have handled probably hundreds of these trimmers. I purchases this trimmer for our home/farm and usually its gets used once a week. I was always the one responsible to do all the cutting chores at home. This unit is light weight and so easy to use my wife now enjoys taking care of the grass and weeds with it now. She will come in the shop, grab a battery, pop it in and go! Takes about 30 minutes for her to complete the trimming in our yard, when done she hangs it back up and puts the battery back on the charger. The trimmer line feeds out well and is no problem to load new string in when needed too. I was extremely skeptical replacing my gas trimmers with this but now I can say I will never own another gas trimmer! No more worries about mixing fuel, storing fuel and gummed up carburetors from winter storage.

I’d been wanting a Milwaukee weed eater for some time as I have multiple other Milwaukee tools and love em all . And as expected, I was not disappointed. Has all the power of gas and without the headaches. Weed eater arrived in excellent condition, took no time to assemble and maybe 5 minutes to load with string. Has plenty of power to spare . Lived up to my expectations.

Overall product was in excellent shape. Well known product that I expect will perform great.No issues at all. Amazon does a great job of inspecting / testing these products.

I ordered a Milwaukee M18 trimmer via Amazon Prime. It was missing the strap and apparently the gear in the bar was stripped because it ran but the trimmer didn't turn. So, they sent me one that had been returned even though I paid for a new one. I sent Milwaukee a note about it several days ago and haven't heard back. I'll try to stop payment.

I had purchased one like this locally and was not convinced it was running right. It simply did not have the "sing" of a good string trimmer. Got this and then was sure that the one bought local was not working right. This one "sings" even with the same battery. Took the other one back.
