replaces my hood for the Olympus 50-150mm 2.8f lens, the OLympus one easily break and costs way too much. Works great.

What can you say, Canon made the worst lens hood mount in history when they created the 135. That said, this one fits. Slightly cheaper plastic than the original so the nubs on it grind down faster, but you're not paying the ridiculous price Canon wants. I'll buy this again once this hood becomes unuseable.

I was about to sell one of my Canon lenses on eBay and realized I could not locate the original lens hood. I wanted to offer the hood as part of the sale, but buying the Canon hood was going to cost $40. It made no sense to spend that much, so I decided to roll the dice and spend just $8.95 on this replacement hood. (And really, it's still probably just a 30 cent piece of plastic) While I was mindful of some of the reviews here complaining about the fit of the aftermarket hood on the Canon lens, I guess I was lucky. The hood arrived in two days, and with Amazon Prime, no shipping costs. It was an absolute perfect fit on my 135 mm f/2 lens, and gave a nice satistfying little snap into place at the end of the twist. So maybe this company has upped its manufacturing standards and all the hoods are like this now, or maybe I just got lucky and got one that fit, but I have no issues at all with this hood and would buy one again.

Fits the Canon 135 f/2 well. It's tight and I don't see any wobble. Excellent buy!

As others have said here, this hood is very hard to screw on. The quality is good but the mounting is wayyyyyyy too tight.

My Olympus lens hood was damaged and I can't believe this Canon lens hood fits right in and better.

Does what it's supposed to do at a great price. Many other things that are compatible to canon are usually best if made by canon. This is not one of them

Was skeptical about purchasing this item, because of all the mixed review, but I decided to give it a try because I did not want to purchase a good filter for $100+ at the moment for my 135mm f2.The item comes in a very simple box, with just the hood, at first, it felt like the hood was very loose, and would fall off if someone hit it from the sides, but after using it for couple hours, I don't find that to be the case.The hood does its job and is good at it, don't see where all this negative reviews are coming from.

Perfect simple replacement for the fancy original hood for the lens at a fraction of the cost.

Habe mir diese Sonnenblende als Ersatz der doch sehr teuren original-Olympus Sonnenblende für das 40-150er Pro F2.8 gekauft und die passt wie auch hier schon in den Kommentaren zu lesen war perfekt auf das Olympus-Objektiv. Bin damit sehr zufrieden da es für mich genau die Funktion hat was eine Sonnenblende machen soll und hält auch gut am Objektiv.Würde ich wieder kaufen und auch weiterempfehlen.

È fatto molto bene e serve egregiamente all uso specifico. Io lo uso in sostituzione al paraluce dell obiettivo 40/150 Zuiko Olympus ha lo stesso diametro e va benissimo

I bought this to replace the lens hood supplied with the Olympus 40-150 Pro lens, which has a tendency to fall apart, with lots of small parts (e.g. little ball bearings) which easily become lost in a bouncing safari vehicle... This hood fits the Olympus Pro lens OK (not brilliantly but it works just fine). I do not know how robust it will be in the field in the future but so far it is exactly what I need - and it is affordable.

Bought as a replacement for the original Olympus lens cap that literally fell to bits.The lens hood is fine although not as handy as the Olympus original that telescopes out. It is, or at least should cost much less (see below).Make sure that you check where you are purchasing from. I'm so used to Prime that I didn't spot that mine came from the USA and that P&P was three times the cost of the lens hood.Shame on Amazon for not making an alert when this is the case e.g. before completing your purchase the P&P is greater than the cost of the item you are buying.
