This cream is a holy grail for anyone with sensitive, over-it skin. It calms, hydrates, and behaves beautifully with actives like tretinoin, peptides, and caffeine serums. No fragrance, no irritation, no weird film. Doesn’t sting when applied to peely, Tret-ravaged skin.It’s rich without being greasy, and actually feels like it’s doing barrier repair work. My face drinks it in like it just got out of a toxic relationship.BUT. THE. CAP.Once you open the flip-top? It’s never quite right again. It doesn’t snap shut, doesn’t click, just kind of… hovers there, forever loose and mocking you. (See pic) I’ve tried pressing, slamming it against the counter, twisting the lid back and forth (which turns the dispensing mechanism on and off - very cool), whispering sweet nothings—nothing works. It’s just defective. I now store it cap side up so it doesn’t leak.This is not how a $15–20 moisturizer should behave.⸻TL;DR:• Formula? 10/10• Packaging? Gremlin-engineered• Will I repurchase? Already have—because the cream is that good• Do I side-eye the cap every time? Also yes.If Etude ever fixes the cap, this would be perfect. Until then, apply lovingly and store cautiously.

This has become my favorite moisturizer of all time. I use it daily, sometimes both morning and night. I wear it alone, mixed with hydrating toners, or mixed with a heavier cream at night. I just use it all the time. My skin is sensitive and prone to acne but there has been no negative reaction after several months of using this every day, multiple times a day. It's lightweight and nourishing without feeling heavy. It's lightly scented but it doesn't irritate my skin or eyes. It's very thin and spreads evenly, and dries with minimal stickiness compared to western brands. Of all my products, this has made the most difference (immediate and long-term) for my skin.

As a super sensitive and acne prone girl with combination skin, this has been one of the best moisturizers that hydrates my face deeply without making it super oily. This sensation fades after a while and makes my face super soft. A little definitely goes a long way.While other people don't really enjoy the cap, I actually really like it. I LOVE THISSS. I have sensitive, eczema, combo skin and this doesn’t break me out. It adds extra hydration as well as calming irritation on my face especially when I’m using my retinoids which make my face really sensitive. It also adds a glow to my face. I usually wear this at night and wake up to glowy skin. Sometimes I wear it in the morning on top of my moisturizer and throughout the entire day my skin feels hydrated and looks glowy and soft. The consistency is not thick like a balm but more like a creamy slightly watery texture. I’m a korean skincare fanatic and I love thissss. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

I no joke use the Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream almost every night as the final step in my skincare routine. After toner, essence, serums, and eye cream, this goes on last, and it’s the perfect finishing touch. The texture is spot on: not too thick, not too light, and never leaves my face feeling heavy or greasy. It just melts in and locks everything in place.I wake up with glowing, calm skin every time I use it. If I see red bumps or feel a breakout coming on (especially around PMS), I’ll apply a retinol cream and then layer this on top and by morning, the redness is gone and bumps have completely calmed down. It really does act like a 2x barrier and helps my skin recover overnight.This cream has become a non-negotiable in my routine. Highly recommend adding it to yours! You won’t regret it!

This moisturizer makes my skin soft and supple but what I dislike about it is that it just sits on top of my face and doesn’t really seep into my pores. It feels heavy and not very moisturizing. I have slightly sensitive but overall normal skin not too oily or dry but it could be better. A little goes a long way. I also hate the twist applicator because the germs just sit there and I have to clean very often. Not good for acne prone skin due to this.
