Great price and the water is completely tasteless and crystal clear

I bought this for my existing 4 stage RO system since I wanted to add alkalinity to our drinking water. Without this, my RO water tested at 5 pH, which is acidic. After installing this, my RO water tested between 9-10 pH. I will be testing it periodically within the 2 year/1500 gallon shelf life to see if it remains at that level, but so far so good. I thought my water tasted good before adding this filter, and now it's even better! Installation was a breeze and it took approximately 10 minutes. I had to buy a couple 3/8" to 1/4" quick connect reducers since the line running to the spout was 3/8" and this filter was supplied with a 1/4" line. Will definitely buy again in the future.UPDATE 7/28/2017:I tested my water using pH drops and it appears as though it has dropped down to 7 pH. How can this be just before 2 months. There is no way we went through 1500 gallons either. I checked the filter and the carbon and minerals still appear to be full.UPDATE 8/28/2017:I spoke to technical support and after some troubleshooting, the pH levels did not increase again so they sent me another unit. I'm hoping the new unit works well for quite a while. Customer service is top notch from LiquaGen.

I used this filter as the 5th stage in a reverse osmosis (RO) water filter to remove chloramine from city water. Despite claims to last 2 years, it only lasted 6 months before the catalytic carbon media wore out, and I detected chloramine in the water. Alkalinization was only from influent pH 6 to effluent pH 7.4.

I had a RO system already so unfortunately I can't tell the difference in taste too much and I don't have any pH strips to see if the pH has actually gone up.

I added this under the sink because I felt that they filter in the frig needed some help. What I did not expect is the taste difference. Very nice.

Needed a replacement, this worked great. Came with pipe tape extra connectors was easy to replace.

I just installed the third one of these and its actually giving a negative effect on PH readings 11 months later. I've been too busy to try and test it earlier. We only use this for drinking water and my wife and I use less than a gallon a day at most and I change all RO filters every 12 months usually. But I noticed the taste wasn't very nice at 11 months and tested the PH, it was 7.5 out of the RO system and 7.6 out of our tap water. I think I'll try a different brand next round since the amount of water we use should be 1/3rd the life of this product. Even 12 months later it should be working after 400 gallons max!
