I initially purchased a four pack through Whole Foods, but the product was spoiled due to faulty Tetra Pak containers. I wrote to the company letting them know of the defect, but didn't expect anything to come of it. To my surprise, they reached out within a matter of hours to discuss my experience. They were wonderful to deal with, and were quite prompt and responsive. They sent a replacement product, which I was grateful for, but again was surprised to see they sent me larger bottles, something that was a nice bonus. The result is now I've had a chance to actually try the product, I can officially say that I like it! The flavor is quite good, though subtle. Maybe too subtle for some, but that's why I like it, it doesn't overpower your palette as if it's liquid dessert. It has a good consistency, is filling, and has simple ingredients. That's actually what drew me to try this brand in the first place: I like that it has a minimal amount of ingredients, and what's there is allergen free (which is not always easy to find in a protein drink). The other benefit of having gone through this, is that now I know there are larger bottles available, and honestly would recommend that size anyway (plus it's more reliable than those tiny Tetra Paks). Anyway, I look forward to exploring more flavors, and it's really great to have found a company that genuinely does stand behind their product.

After the devastating news regarding the high lead content found in other popular protein brands, I was relieved to learn that Only What You Need protein products ranked among the very safest to drink. Their taste, quality, and affordability make them the best choice for my family.

It's so hard to find a ready-to-drink protein drink that doesn't have stevia. Stevia and I don't get along! This product has monk fruit, which imparts a similar flavor as stevia (which I'm not a fan of). The initial flavor is good, nice strong vanilla flavor, creamy without being too thick. But shortly after swallowing, there is that signature weird aftertaste of the pea protein mixed with monk fruit. Not the best. I find that drinking this quickly is best, followed by something else to cut the aftertaste. I really appreciate the smoothness of this drink, and the initial vanilla flavor. So a solid 4 stars there (plus no stevia or artificial sweeteners). But that aftertaste is difficult to get used to. I don't consume these often, but they're handy when needed and I like the packaging. You can put the cap on and put back in the fridge if you don't want the whole thing. Ingredients really are good. I have IBS and so many things irritate it, but this product is pretty safe for me Not perfect, but one of the better options in the category. Good to keep on hand.

I love the flavor of the vanilla shakes and they also supplement my protein intake. While I did buy an assortment of other flavors, the vanilla shakes in my opinion are the best. The do not contain a lot of chemicals, are plant based and highly recommended by a dietician etc. The price is also great and given the overall health benefit, flavor etc., you will not be disappointed. I have tried many protein shakes, including Ensure, and this one is simply the only one I will drink

Quite good, tasty and good for you. Its name, OWYN, comes from Only What You Need, and that is true. Its ingredients are excellent.

This was the first plant based protein drink I’d purchased as I’m lactose intolerant and get tired of taking lactase enzymes prior to consuming dairy. Well, the taste of this stuff left a nasty aftertaste. So I’m back to taking my lactase pills prior to a much more pleasant tasting product. This one just wasn’t for my palate.

Great taste. I've been told by my grandkids that I can developed a taste for these since they do not particularly care for the taste. Definitely taste better than Ensure.
