Great functionality
Now, I gotta say I LOVE the features on this unit. Below are the the major good and unique features on this device:1. the adjustment knob has a nice "click" when it rotates, each click is +1/-1 to the selected digit, this makes fine control super easy. The other old supply I used has a smooth knob, making it hard to fine tune 1 or 2 mV.2. Memory feature--3 settings total, just a very handy thing to have. It's a press of a button to switch between 5V or 12V which I use the most. you can set it to whatever you want of course, and the process is fast and intuitive. I also have my third set to 24V for the occasional need of powering pneumatic solenoids.3. output on/off switch: sounds simple but, it's great. Not all PSUs have it, most just count on the user to disconnect or use the power switch to the unit. I love the option of letting the unit idle when I have to make small adjustments to circuits.4.Power switch is located on the front, not back-- easy turning on and off. no reaching around. small detail, but quality of life. The picture shows me using this PSU for nickel coating some iron components needed for a diy project. The constant current control is perfect for my application since it ensures a constant reaction rate when the conductivity of the solution changes over time or when electrodes get moved. One small issue is that there seems to be an 0.05 A offset to the constant current setting. If I set current cap to 200 mA, the operating current is capped at 250ma; likewise if I set it to 250mA, it stabilizes right below 300mA. It doesn't bother me since it's consistent and easy to account for, but I will contact customer support just to find out why.Last but not least, customer support is very friendly. They reached out to me right after my purchase and promised to solve any problem I might have, so that's pretty good attitude.

Great value. Works great.
It’s a pretty solid unit. Especially for the money. You could get a more precise unit but it would cost a LOT more. I tested the voltage and current against a Fluke 87 in the shop and found it to be pretty accurate. I don’t know how I feel about the selection knob. It takes a little more time to dial in precise values compared to the previous model knobs but it’s not too bad. I expect I will get used to it quickly. A course and fine adjustment would be a great addition. I like the memory function where you can store 4 values that you use on a regular basis. Seeing as we use several relays that take different voltages it’s a useful feature for testing. All in all a good little unit that will see a lot of use.

Good product for the price. Great improvements over previous generation.
I owned a previous generation of this power supply and I wrote a review on it here:https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R1CQO44UXI1IXG?ref=pf_ov_at_pdctrvw_srpThis review is relative to the previous generation. Base on my previous review, the manufacture asked me to test and review this newer model. So here it is.The good: Output voltages / Current can be set easily and safely. Output power can be turn on/off with a button. Power switch on the front, easy to access. Lock button to prevent setting changes by accident. Four memory buttons to recall your previous setting. Instruction manual is clear and easy to understand. The bad: Power supply cable is short, so it may not reach the closest outlet, however it is a standard PC power cable, which I have plenty of. The stand-off is made of hard plastic, which was uneven and cause it to rock a little on my bench top. I have to shim it with a folded piece of paper to keep it from rocking (maybe this is just happen on my unit).I have tested this unit from 1V to 60V and I found that the voltage setting is within 0.05V accuracy. The current output is within 0.1A of the setting. The cutoff current tent to go over the set current by 50 mA before the voltage begin to drop. This unit has all the features that an expensive power supply has but at much cheaper price. In my opinion, it does everything I need for my electronic hobby at home. I would buy this unit over the older generation in a heart beat. This power supply address all of the problems the previous generation had. I would recommend this unit to anyone that need a power supply for a home use.

Great supply with an upgraded feature set for a small price premium.
Using this in a very high tech lab with many similar supplies and some very high end supplies as well. We use this supply to power things like cooling fans and small circuit cards to support development projects. What I like about this one over the others we use is that it has four memories to store the settings. It uses a digital encoder to set the voltage /current not an analog potentiometer. The digital encoder is more precise and stable. It has a dial lock button so that you don't accidently change something which is nice! It also has a DC power enable which allows you to change the settings safely until you are really to enable the voltage. The display is nice and bright. As far as the performance it does fine for what we use it for. This is not a super quiet "linear" supply and for the price you can not expect that. The things that I would change is that I would provide better power leads. The adjustment knob is also used to select the resolution of the voltage or current step you are changing. You do this by pushing the knob in until it clicks. You have to push it in one time for each digit until you get the granularity of the step size you want. As a result it takes a bit of time to set up. It is a minor grip but I can think a better way to do it but might need another button. One other thing is I wish they made this supply in other form factors. It is a bit wide and takes up more width on our bench that the other similar supplies, but it is much shorter so if you needed several you could stack them easier that the others and would ultimately take less room.We do move our equipment around a lot, and while this unit is very light, a small side carry handle would be a nice add just to make sure it doesn't get dropped.
