It definitely has some interesting info that you can use.You will need to have a basic understanding of the theory behind it for it to be truly useful.The explanations are lacking so you will likely have to do your own research.Clearly had been written by someone who has forgotten what else they learned to understand what they are trying to teach (if that makes sense).A prime example of this "Mathematically let's analyze why the chord can be compatible with so many scales....".Which follows with no mathematical explanation but instead a chart that you are meant to decipher on your own.Also has a picture of the guitar neck that shows all possible notes for which they suggest the reader memorizes the whole thing...

Exactly what I've expected

As many other reviews for this book found on the internet have said, this isn't a book for your average novice to intermediate guitar player. Its for those players looking to stray away from the same movable chord shapes you hear on the radio.As a learning tool there are many books out there that can do a better job than this one, although there is a quite detailed section in the beginning of this book explaining chord theory and formula breakdowns.As a reference tool for those guitar players hoping to one day join the ranks of famous guitar virtuoso's, this book is indispensable. There are hundreds of charts showing full chord arpeggios for more chords than I can ever dream of knowing. Along with the charts for each chord, your given half a dozen (at least, maybe more) scales and modes that each chord fits in (provided you know your modes well of course)This is a great book for people with a good knowledge of music theory, and has really helped take my playing to a new level

Meant to use and keep a copy as a chord dictionary, but the book arrived beaten-up. Not sure how it was handled. Very disappointed:(

Would be 5 stars if there were a couple of changes. In the diagrams, it would be great if the root was indicated. And.. for the neck diagrams would be so much better if the fret markers were more legible
