TritonT Square TTSTS T Square 90° (117435)

Just a very quick review to share my experience with track compatibility - hopefully it will spare someone some pain! There are lots of statements, conjecture and guesses both here and all over the Internet about what is compatible with what. This Triton saw is NOT compatible with Festool track. I UNDERSTAND that the Festool saw is compatible with the Trition track, but the reverse is not the case.Basically, my Triton track (1500mm) was faulty on delivery and it was returned - could not replace it since it was out of stock; so, ordered the Festool track (1400mm about the same price). The saw will not fit on it!

The clamps are well made and sturdy. The top jaw is 11mm wide and 5mm thick mounted on a 5.5mm wide neck, and fits my Aldi PL-55 saw track perfectly (Aldi's track saw appears to be identical to the Scheppach PL-55). The box also contained two extension lower jaw protectors which can be fitted in place of the orange protectors in the illustration to give 35mm extra knuckle room when used beneath a workpiece; these are not mentioned in the description or illustration, but are a useful 'extra'.

I bought this following a YouTube recommendation from Peter Millard. He must have got a good one or I got a bad one... not particularly impressed with the performance or finish. It doesn't feel sharp to the touch (unlike the Freud ones that feel as if you could easily cut yourself when you change the blade). Not expensive but i found it a waste of money and should've just paid another £10 to get the (amazing) Freud again instead.Doubt get me wrong... it's not terrible, it's just not very good in my opinion

Wrote a review for this previously but I notice that it wasn't added ... naughty Amazon trying to cover up a poor review... tut, tut! Very disappointing that Amazon would attempt to do such an act. As such I've reviewed it again even worse as a one star for everything - karma. Delivery was very late and as Amazon have annoyed me it's a one star for the lot now. I will end by saying that the blade is actually quite good but just make sure not to buy it from the trader TopToolsDirect, who are awful.

I purchased this track-square but then tried to cancel as was unsure if it would fit my Makita saw track. Cancellation request wasn't picked up by courier making the delivery and the t-square was delivered. I am glad it was - fits perfectly on the Makita track (and expect it should also fit on Festool and other 'similar' tracks).Fit is solid and adds hugely to convenience - would have however liked it to be longer so as to allow a longer setup against the edge of the work-piece and hence a more true square when placed. Recommended!
