Was using the smaller equigroomer on our huskies then saw this size and felt it would work better on our large boys and wasn't disappointed at all! It gets a lot of hair out in less time than the smaller model and will definitely be purchasing it again.

This brush is nothing short of amazing, I have a double coated medium length fur husky as pictured in the second photo and its been a journey to find a brush that both works and that she will tolerate long enough to actually get some brushing in, not only did she tolerate the brush SHE LOVED IT! And as you can see from the photos we got so much of that undercoat out, the brush is well made and very affordable and just the right size to get a good surface area but not be oversized in the hand. If you've been struggling to find a good affordable and calming brush your search is over

Decent de-shedder but our dog doesn’t like it. We have to give our dog a collagen stick in order to use this comb on her and even then, it’s very difficult to get her to settle down. The comb does brush out a lot of her coat, but for some reason seems to work better depending on the side of the comb you use. Also, can’t use this on the bony leg parts obviously, which is where a lot of the hair comes from.

I have 6 cats. Yes 6! 5 of them love the equigroomer and would not let me stop. It does exactly as it says it will and did not disappoint me. It is quality, easy to use, a great size and the handle is easy to grip during use. It is also a cinch to clean.I have short, medium and long haired cats and it works for all. I saw an amazing difference in coat shine and health after just the first use. They all reacted as though a mother cat was bathing them because the teeth are roughly the texture of a cat tongue. My medium haired cat would start nipping at me when I stopped to collect the hairballs coming off his coat.It is a messy job and will make a hairy mess so do it in the bathroom or be prepared to vacuum, dust, lint roll etc wherever you choose to use this tool. It is well worth it!The only cat who rejected this tool is a short haired tabby who was bottle fed from infancy and does not know the joys of being groomed by his mother (I used a little tooth brush when he was little but it is not the same). He is my grumpiest cat so I was not surprised he hated it. He also does not shed or dander like the others and doesn't really need it.Finally it is worth mentioning that I tried it on my suede-ish couch and it works! It is not as good as a vacuum but it did take most of the fur off without damaging the upholstery.

Not good for Australian Shepherds, didn't get undercoat to deshed.

This doesn’t disappoint. I’ve seen this used by professional groomers on social media and it works as advertised. My lab loves it.
