Typical Eufy. It just works and works very well.
Installation is as easy as every other Eufy camera. I had a SoloCam watching a stairwell, primarily for water backup but also security. Sunlight was barely charging the camera so it had to be removed every couple of weeks to charge, then reinstalled. After a storm that didn't allow any charging and near constant monitoring this camera, had to change to a wired version. This Outdoor camera is perfect. Small, enough clarity to see water levels, connects easily to app, has great Wifi range, etc. and fits perfectly. The power cord is plenty long to reach a remote outlet. Super happy with this camera and the Eufy universe as a whole. As a side note, Eufy Customer Support is great. Didn't need it on this camera but I am very impressed with Eufy as a whole and will happily stick with this system.

Great little camera!
So I love this camera it takes great video and is easy to use plus it comes with a 32 gb card so you don’t have to pay for the cloud. The night vision is good and you are able to set it up in minutes. Also the price is very nice considering it’s cheaper than a doorbell can. There are a few things I’m not crazy about….it’s easy to steal (so we put ours 10 ft up). I just wish the camera wasn’t so easy to snatch off the base! Since it’s magnetic a person could easily reach up and tear it down. Also if this happens and you don’t pay for the cloud storage you lose all footage of who took your camera. Also if you loose power or a bad guy unplugged it you lose all video again unless you have the cloud subscription. We plugged ours inside and made a lil spot through the bottom of the door so we could close it without any interference. Now the thing I do like is you can buy a home base that stores your data from your eufy cameras. I’m probably going to buy 1 or 2 more cameras so I will definitely be getting a home base for this reason. Also I wish it had the option to make a sound other than alarm when it spots someone. Maybe a whistle like some of the other cameras do. The alarm sound is just so jarring that it would scare any delivery drivers delivering packages. And lord knows there job is hard enough so let’s not make it harder! The app is easy enough to use but for some reason when sharing the videos you can’t send them via text msg unless you download them to your phone. You can email, Facebook or Instagram share.

Finally, a camera with no subscription required!
I've switched to use Eufy cameras exclusively because they don't require a monthly subscription. This model doesn't have a battery, so it needs to be plugged in and powered up to function. However, beyond that, it's a great camera. It connects with the Home Base, which allows some pretty advanced (facial recognition) notifications. It has live viewing, and with the base, can record for weeks (depending on how many other cameras you use). The camera also has some internal memory, though I've not used it so I can't speak for how long. It can also be set to only record detected motion, rather than continuously. I've yet to have any performance issues, so I'm overall very happy with this camera. It does everything it should, without any fuss or recurring cost. Setup is also pretty easy. The app walks you through everything and it's mostly scanning a QR code.

great quality camera with annoying defect - Update 2: A major security flaw after 1.5 years
Great camera with excellent image quality (better than my commercial grade high quality recent 4MP NVR camera system where each camera costs 4 times as much than this Eufy), night vision, very wide field of view and very easy to mount with a very strong magnet (see the downside of this below) and long USB cable. During night, the spotlight is responsive and provides color night vision throughout my entire drive way. 2 way audio is also a great feature. The camera seems to be well weather sealed. Notifications are instant and it has so far a 100% person detection rate. There is a beta pet detection setting, which does not work for detecting cats in my experience - I do not know about larger pets. The camera worked great for a week or so and then started to behave weird: Every morning it remains stuck in a black and white mode, where it does not trigger any motion recordings and does not send any notifications. I just noticed it as I had people in the drive way, but did not get any notification. The video stream is still real-time, though - just in b/w. It happens sometimes during night and the only work around so far is to restart the camera. This happened now for several consecutive days. It is a camera issue, as I notice the same behavior on 2 iPhones and 2 iPads and none of my Indoor Cam 2k show this issue. Resetting is a strain, as I have to pull out a long ladder to get to the camera and to the reset button, which then requires to re-adjust the camera due to the magnetic mount, which would not be necessary with a fixed mount (this should really be provided in the box). There should also be a software option for resetting it rather than the physical button on the camera, where you also have to open the weather seal for the microSD card, which is not great when done on a frequent basis. I hope this will - and can be fixed soon. Right now it is completely useless for detecting intruders until, this is fixed. Therefore my generous 3 star rating, which I will have to drop to 1 star, if this cannot be fixed. Otherwise this is a solid 5 star device. UPDATE: Eufy technical support was very responsive replying within hours to my inquiry. They asked to send in video for analysis and within days shipped me a new camera for testing. However, this one had the same flaw and technical support pointed to a potential firmware issue and provided a new firmware 1.0.2.6 within 3 days! This one corrected this odd behavior and now the camera works perfectly. They even let me keep the original camera as well. I highly recommend this camera and should you require any technical help, the responsiveness of Eufy is just fantastic! UPDATE 2 after 1.5 years: I have 4 of the Security Solo OutdoorCam C24 2k cameras installed. 2 are 1.5 years old and 2 are 0.5 years old. The quality of the image and the features of the camera are still fantastic. However, the 2 older cameras have a major flaw that manifested during the past year. Every few days, the cameras completely loose all recordings!!! The App (I am using iOS) shows x events, but when opening events everything is gone - not a single event is present. However, the SD card clearly has recordings, as the recording space is used, but nothing can be recovered. Also, the time line view shows a blank bar rather the event time stamps. This even happens when a new event notifications arrives and I directly open the event right away, the error message indicates that the just occurred event is not longer available or has been over written! This is completely unacceptable for any camera, but especially a camera sold as a security camera. Strangely, if this happens to one of the cameras it will simulatenously also happen on the second camera, but never happened so far with the newer cameras. I do not know, if the hardware is different or the cameras just age, but it looks like a software issue. I changed the SD card (it is a high end SDXC V30 security video card on the recommended list from Eufy. The same SD card is also in the newer cameras without problem so far). Resetting the cameras several times did to help at all. Unfortunately, resetting the camera requires taking it down from the magnetic mount, as the reset button is hidden behind it (an absolutely terrible design) and then requires cumbersome readjustment of the camera view, as due to the magnetic mount, there is no mechanism to preserve the original camera position. Eufy support is of no help and basically just says to reset it, send them videos of this (the videos are gone, as I explained). Worst, every few uses, the Eufy App asks you to rate the App before showing you any camera view (this cannot be prevented and is so annoying, as it pops up constantly even though I rated the camera before - it does not remember this.) I still have 4 brand new cameras to install, but will not even bother. Due to this MAJOR FAULT, I cannot recommend this camera at all any longer.

5 Stars for Eufy, I bought 2 months a go eufy wireless door locks and loved the retrofit installation. Its so easy to install and the only thing you need is to remove door lock from inside. So i am not worried about -40 temperature now coz indoor locks temp will remain constant, the weatherproof wireless keypad makes the door lock system complete. Best part i can manage the entry, access remotely, generate user PIN's, grants temporary and time based. Later i bought eufy wired door bell, which is another great product. The new door bell has dual camera one for front view and one for package view which shows foot steps of the door. like regular CCTV camera i can create activity zones in door bell also. It has pre recorded 3 voice announcements which can be setup to trigger if someone approaches the door or try to steal your package. Since that was not enough and then i bought eufy outdoor wired cameras. I am amazed with the camera quality. The cameras was reasonably priced if i compare it with the product quality. The wired S200 series camera comes with a magnetic base and a memory card slot, one can use upto 128GB micro SD card. I bought wired camera because i needed 24/7 continuous recording, I bought 2 wired cameras one with 1080p resolution and other 2K resolution, and both are amazing in terms of video quality and online live streaming. I cant even find a difference in 1080p and 2K video on cell phone. The 2K camera comes with 32gb Micro SD card and can store up to 72 hours of Continuous video/audio/motion detection/events etc. Pros:- 1) easy to setup with eufy ioS/android app 2) Amazing smartphone app with attractive features. 3) door bell notifications are instant with thumbnails and text alerts 4) AI face recognition feature is amazing and it stores the visitor name for future notification 5) Totally secure, i find privacy much better then other product in market. Your data is safe in local storage if your using devices internal memory. No data stored over the cloud unless you subscribe for it. 6) night vision is perfect, including spot lights in camera which triggers automatically once someone enters into activity zones. 7) there are so many state of the art features in eufy products which i am still not familiar or couldnt find enough time to explore the. 8) and the most best part all of the devices are seamlessly connect with voice assistant (alexa, google home). I find it much better with alexa, amazon fire tv, and alexa touch screen frame. just say alexa show me door bell. it right away pops up the camera, or lock unlock the door. 9) built-in memory products are amazing, i am not worried about my privacy and data anymore. 10) there are a lot more pros of the devices and not on top of my head right now. 11) Yes, the customer services is superb, response spontaneously and keeps you in loop if yo arises any concern. Cons:- 1) A little bit more work required on Alexa and google integration. it could be voice assistance side which sometimes takes longer then usual to pop up camera or take longer if you instruct alexa to lock the door. I wouldnt blame eufy. i know they will work with third party and update it. 2) The built in memory of cameras could have been increased from 128Gb, in my case its not an issue. 3) Sometimes the camera notifications delay. I guess cameras are not good idea to use as door bell, since door bell response is spontaneous and im loving it. 4) Door bell heats up pretty quick, i dont know its the factory default. In winter its a plus point to keep door bell warm so it dosent loses connection. but in hot summer days it could be an issue. But i havent faced any significant issue so far. yes if one person is streaming the live video on door bell then other user streaming device can hear audio from door bell. I figured out coz my alexa was automatically showing door bell once someone press the door bell and it pops it up on alexa screen. and at the same time i opened the door bell on my phone and couldnt hear the audio from the person at the door. Eventually i had to disable alexa auto showinf door bell video so i can anser the door bell from phone and speak with the person. All above mentioned Cons does not mean the door bell is not functional. It is functional but i guess i used the devices beyond their limits or maybe something have never tested before by the manufacturer. i am sure they will come up with a solution in near future. Simple words, thanks eufy. i am loving your security products. I can proudly say my home is protected by Eufy. PS: this review is not paid or sponsored. I strongly recommend everyone, why to pay telco operators monthly fee, when you can get you own personalized, customized easy to install security system along with data privacy in reasonable price and best quality products

I have been using numerous types of home surveillance cameras for 9 years now, and this camera is by far the best camera I have ever owned. Initially, opening the box immediately displayed a very well put together product. It's small, and feels solid. Installation was a breeze. With one screw to mount the small, round metal plate and that's it. Then the magnetic base mounts to the small, round, metal plate and the camera magnetically mounts to the base. It was unbelievably simple. I downloaded the app and got this camera set up within minutes with no issues. It provides a very clear picture, in fact, it's the best/clearest picture I've ever seen on a surveillance camera that I have owned. The app is very user-friendly and the camera is completely customizable. I have been playing with this camera for a few days now and I can find no faults. The price was excellent and I'm going to be slowly changing out my entire, wired, 1080p security system for these cameras as time and money permits. The best part I love about this camera is how easy it was to customize what areas I wanted triggered by motion. On top of the ease of setting it up, it is extremely accurate. The app asks you if you want person, pet, or all motion. I chose person and I have not had a false trigger yet. I get an immediate notification to my phone and when you click on the notification, it plays a short video clip of what triggered the motion. I also really love the fact that what's on my camera is my business. No monthly fees, no cloud storage, all video is saved to the internal 32 GB microSD. I honestly can't say enough good things about this camera. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.
