French Rule - Hard To Use
Great for practicing handwriting with a fountain pens. First " French Rule" notebook, took a bit to get use to it.

Great notebook
I really missed the notebooks I got in France, so I ordered this. I love the smoothness of the paper and of course the lining to keep my handwriting neat. The cover is glossy and durable and the binding is very strong. I think I still prefer the cheaper ones I bought from Carrefour. I’ve never loved composition-style notebook bindings because I can’t tear out pages, and this was a splurge for me. It’s just hard to find exactly what I want in the US, and this was the best match. Despite not being in love with the notebook, I’m still rating it 5 stars because it’s of excellent quality and exceeded my expectations.

The paper quality and line printing is great. The rule is Seyes or "French" ruled (a grid of 8mm squares, with faint lines horizontally every 2mm, plus wide left margins). The pages are glued, but seem glued well. Enjoyable writing.

I love the fact that there are so many small lines, this is actually super important when starting to write as it really help with sizing of the letters. good purchase

Clairefontaine paper is always an excellent, smooth writing paper. French rule is a great aid for practicing/improving penmanship. Too bad the book does not lie flat on the table.

Not what I expected - I wanted normal notebook lines, and it was a grid, also larger than I wanted.
