After seeing metal obelisks at a local boutique nursery for hundreds of dollars each, I was happy to see these plastic coated metal ones on Amazon. Same look, far less money.Assembly was simple, but after they’re all put together they’re not exactly solid. Once they’re in the ground, they’re stable enough. Every now and then I have to go out and straighten the little fluer de lis parts at the top though. So far, they’ve held up to the cucumber vines I’m growing on them this season. I haven’t seen any signs of fading. I anticipate them lasting many, many years.

Happy with my purchase. Looks beautiful for my jasmine to climb on. Not the best material, but once it was stuck into my garden pot it’s sturdy. Looks so pretty. Would recommend

For the price - this is a great trellis. Push down on all 4 uprights to make sure it's level and the joints are tight. I tied string between the gaps to help my clematis move up. I will take in for the winter because snow will pile up on it where it is in my garden. Not the strongest structure but great if you need a low price, easy to move trellis.

This was easy to assemble and very lightweight. It was difficult to push into the ground because of its flimsiness and I ended up using a garden stake to get the tuteur deep enough. I'm not going to skimp - next time I'm buying metal.In the photo, the one on the right is what I bought from Amazon. The one on the left is coated metal, single-piece. Much more stable.

During assembly, one of the snap extensions on the ring broke when I lightly pushed it up to the pole. This is dissapointing as I won't be able to reach full extension when the time comes. Overall, very good looking product. Too bad the ring broke!Update: changing to a 5 star review...the seller contacted me immediately and made this right. I got replacement rings and ask is well! Overall I really like the aesthetic of this product and would recommend it!

UPDATED: I had to throw them away because they kept falling completely apart. There are plenty of much better options.The upright poles are metal, but everything else is plastic. The circular parts are plastic and sort of clip to the metal upright poles. They were almost all bent or warped out of the box, which makes the obelisk unstable and crooked. The plastic circle clips to the poles and will loosen pretty quickly. One snapped just putting it on the pole. These are simple to put together but there are better options for the same price.

The media could not be loaded.  So pleased with this set of two! I love that they could be made shorter if desired by using less components. The center rings are plastic but they’ve held up great.

It is not a bad product and if the plant support rings (the circular pieces) were metal with more durable assembly clips it would be great. Only the vertical poles and curved poles that make the top are metal tube. The third plastic clip I tried to connect from the ring to the pole snapped. Used extreme care to connect the rest and will just use a cable tie to hold the broken ring in place. These plastic support rings might last a season, but I will be surprised if they hold up long to a climbing plant. I was expecting an all metal system so its a bit disappointing that something fairly important to the structural stability is cheap plastic. The decorative top is also plastic with the same low quality plastic clip connectors.

I have had a hard time finding plastic ones like these. IAfter putting them together i decided to buy 2 more sets lol I'll store them for the winter.
