Does this help with the proper position of your head when breathing, or only when swimming with your head down?

I like to use once a week or so to help with my head position while breathing. I have a tendency to lift my head too far out of the water rather than breathing in the bow wave. You'll notice the Trainer will push into your back/shoulder more if you lift your head. I use it infrequently because after swimming with it for just a little bit you'll get used to the 'feedback' the device gives you and may stop thinking about it. There are a bunch of other drills listed on swimsmooth and total immersion that you can use that are going to be more helpful than this device.

i have a forward head posture and have a hard time remembering to do my chin tucks. would this device help (worn out of the pool)?

Serious? This is a swimming tool. Don‘t think that ist will help on dryland....

Can I wear this at my desk? I slouch a lor!

I know this is lame after responding twice and giving the "go ahead", after giving it some thought, I'm changing my mind. I don't think that using the Finis posture trainer while sitting in a chair is going to improve your posture. Unless, while slouching you throw your head back and point your chin at the ceiling. If you do that the point of the posture trainer will poke you at the base of your neck.

Is this flexible? If a swimmer picks their head up, is this going to bend or stay in position?

It is a fairly-stiff plastic, post. If a swimmer lifts their head the positioner stays in place. It gives the swimmer a mild "poke" between the shoulders. Nothing painful, but if the swimmer is persistant/stubborn they'll probably be left with a few red marks after practice!
