Good starter sewing kit.
I was looking for a starter sewing kit, something more than just the little emergency portable repair kits you can get at Walmart or the grocery store. This one caught my eye as having a good range of equipment and the box looked nice. I wasn't disappointed, to my surprise the box is all natural wood no particle board or plastic, and is fairly well put together and so far appears to be sturdy. One of the hinges is slightly askew but does not interfere with the lids ability to open and close and the lid is secure when closed. The items in the kit are decent quality the scissors especially surprised me as the appear to be pretty good quality and well made. In the past getting kits like this the scissors are usually the cheapest quality. Haven't used the little sewing machine but it appears to be just like all the other little hand held machines, not super high quality but looks like it will get job done.

Really nice!
I REALLY like it! The quality of the box is great! I also tried out the mini sewing machine and it was much better than I expected. It even has automatic feed of the material. I am very happy with the purchase

Lightweight nice product but not for what I need
Loved the box it came with & so many nice accessories. directions were not detailed enough for me. I couldn't repair a stretchy pillow case that had a seam open. 2 hands were needed to do so.Dragged out my tabletop model. Probably would have worked for other repairs but wasn't sure so am returning it. sorry

No thanks
Garbage. My boyfriend managed to unthread it and the instructions are also garbage. So it’s a $50 paper weight.

A lot of Temu accessories.
Very cheap and hard to use. Stitches come right out. I like the scissors and case it came in.

Great value
This is a great basic sewing kit. The little handy-stitch machine that comes with it gets a lot of attention in the reviews, but honestly even if you threw that in the trash the overall buy is still a great value: I would have paid more just for the very nice shears that came with the kit, much less the excellent collection of needles, threads, pins, seam ripper, tailor's tape, and on and on. The little basic sewing machine feels completely gratuitous: if despite its limitations it works for your need, great!--but if not, you're still ahead of the game overall.

It so beautiful
I gave it 4 stars but it will change to 5 only because we haven't tried it yet, this is for my daughter she is 8 and is learning embroidery and now in to making voodoo dolls all thanks to a vending machine, she has obsessed with making dolls so this will be a great birthday gift for her, we will let everyone know how this gift performs soon but for now the box is very lovely, the paint and engraving is very clean there no ruff edges in the engraving even inside the box very clean sanded down well, the lock is works very smoothly but it has a bit flexibility that can later bend, the hinges I really love because it has these stoppers to keep the box from over opening if that makes sense I have seen my kids open wooden boxes and lost count on how many times those screws pop right off from over opening, from just looking at it, we'll built box, great accessories can go wrong with extra thread, the machine looks very solid I don't think there be any problems there but won't know just yet

Good in concept bad in practice
A hand held sewer seems like a great, convenient idea, however, you quickly realize that good sewing precision requires two hands to maneuver the fabric, which you can’t do if one hand is holding and powering this sewer. I’d say that a standard, table sewer is still the best solution but if space is limited that may not be the best option…so what I did is modified this lil handheld device with a corded (foot) switch and clamped it to the table. Now, in modifying this sewer I also realized that it was very cheap in construction, I mean who uses a metal-to-metal contact switch anymore? Straight out of the 70’s toys handbook lol. Lastly, the battery power is too weak to keep the sewer moving well, so fortunately they included AC-DC power plug…otherwise it would have been totally useless. I give it two stars cus tho it’s a great concept, it didn’t really pan out, it required modifications to make it truly useful, and cus of the cheap construction. I also really loved all the lil tools/materials that came in the kit…that probably made expense worthwhile.
