easy to assemble
This stand was perfect for my basket swing chair. I had it assembled in a few minutes. It is sturdy and has held up very well. I store it in the garage in the winter. No signs of rust, scratches or anything...serves it's purpose.

Looks substantial - good value - easy to assemble
This came in much larger box than I anticipated and was heavy. It is well constructed and sturdy. It was nice that it came with all the tools necessary for assembly and only required 4 screws to put together. It looks nice, very high gloss black paint. Overall, I only gave it a 4 for sturdiness at it appears to require bolting to the ground to make it 100% safe. My son was able to rock it over quite easily if swinging too much. I plan to just swing easily to stay safe. It would be nice to have a design that makes it impossible to tip over without bolting down.I do think you may want an additional "O" ring and carabiner to easily remove your hammock chair when it rains.

More than I bargained for
I ordered this thinking that it was only the stand, considering nothing in the product images, title, or description mentioned that it would come with a chair of its own. Imagine my surprise when I unboxed both a stand AND a chair. I’m not mad about it exactly, since the chair is nice, but it really defeated the purpose of buying this because I already had a hammock chair for it and I didn’t want or need another one.Giving it four stars because it hangs a little too low, and in my case it seems like there was slight misinformation in the advertisement of the product, but so far it seems pretty solid. It came with everything needed, though it was kind of a pain to put together on my own. (If you are small in stature or don’t have lots of arm strength, have a helper on hand.) Considering I got more than I bargained for with my order, I’d say this was a good value purchase on my part, though I would have liked to know that BEFORE putting money down.

Sturdy and easy to put together
Bought the FDW Hammock Chair Stands Hanging Hammock Stand as a gift. It was one of the highest rated and tallest stands I could find. This is a very sturdy stand, has some weight to it. Like the holes in the base of the legs if you wanted to add stakes to secure it to the ground. I was able to assemble this myself in about 25 minutes. Instructions are a bit rough but just looking at the picture and the parts gave me some direction. When a swing was attached, there was no sense or feeling like it was going to tip. I would recommend this and I'm glad I choose wisely.

Sturdy
I purchased this separately from a hammock that I got for my daughter. It's sturdy and she has had no problems with it. I just wish there had been more color options as she would have preferred white or a different color to black. It takes up a decent amount of space on her floor but she has a big room, so it works out, okay.

VERY EASY TO ASSEMBLE!
I was so surprised how easy this was to assemble! I had already made arrangements for someone to help, but I was too excited to wait the few days it would take for them to come over, so I did it myself. All the pieces were there; it was packaged well; and it arrived ahead of schedule! The instructions are a diagram versus step by step, but honestly, that is all you need! I have trouble working the TV remote, so trust me when I say it was easy to assemble! The only pieces you have to assemble are the base (two pieces you screw together), the C-frame section (two pieces you fit one in the other and screw together), and a hook at the top (open and snap it on). There are literally 2 bolts and 2 screws that you need to put it together. That's it! It even comes with the tools you need to screw it in (2 wrench things). It is very heavy and the stand base takes up a LOT of room, so be prepared for that. I love this!

Easy to assemble, works well.
The only thing that I did not like was the flimsy washers that came with the thing..Everything else is good. It is easy to assemble. There is not any kind of adjustment and it does not swivel. You may or may not need extra spring/carabiner and it does depend on the length of the chair you have. Keep in mind that the fabric of the chair will eventually stretch with use and you butt may become too close to the bottom connection (you don't want to hit that). For my chair, an extra knot at the top hanging rope solved the problem (at least for now). The longer section of the base is forward and please, no swinging on this thing -this warning is on the instructions too ;-)

Too short.
I like the concept but it's too low. All the hammock chairs I have gotten have our butt touching the bottom of the stand when we sit in it. I have to makeshift them to work. I thought this was all hammock chairs until I saw the friends and realized we chose poorly.
