children, environmental awareness, climate change
"Greta and the Giants," authored by Zoe Tucker and illustrated by Zoe Persico, is a 32-page story for children age 4-7 about environmental awareness and human activities that prompt climate change. The book's engaging message is well told and the illustrations are beautiful. The book is available in hardcover ($8.60) and paperback ($11.89) versions. This is a book that will be read again and again, so I advise purchasing the hardcover, which is also a better bargain. Although the storyline is inspired by the young, Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, the book is not authorized, licensed, or approved by her. Greta likes to spend her time in the forest. One day, she is approached by her woodland friends who seek her help to convince the Giants -- reread as humans disregarding activities that prompt both climate change and environmental destruction -- to change their behaviors. Greta singlehandedly sets out on a quest to persuade the Giants to change and is eventually joined by her forest friends and a large crowd of people who feel as she does. They activists tell the Giants how their behavior has negatively affected the earth and the living things that inhabit it. The Giants later apologize for their activities and agree to be more environmentally aware. The book concludes with an age-appropriate essay about climate change and a list of things youngsters can do to preserve the environment and its inhabitants. Web links direct readers to further information. Highly recommended.

Great Intro for Earth Conservation Topic
It was a fun read for my preschoolers, and sparked interest in Greta and her interest. It then inspired them to ask questions about global warming and taking care of the planet. It had great illustrations, and I really recommend it!

Amazing!
We've been teaching our children about Greta Thunberg and her heroism for the planet. Books like this make all the difference in a world that's more greedy than it ever was.We need more people like Greta - young, strong people who are willing to be brave and stand for what's right. Ignore the tiny naysayer reviews on here; in their case, ignorance isn't always bliss.

Protect our Planet 🌎 being about change!!!
This book empowers our young people to take action to protect our planet. You are never too young to make a difference!!!! The illustrations are vivid and the message is clearly laid out. One person can bring about change as onlookers will join in, if the cause is for good. 🌍

MUST HAVE CHILDRENS BOOK!!!!
This book has such a wonderful message. When I read this book to my kindergarten students, I asked them what we could do to help our earth. One of my students replied, “When I grow up, I’m gonna be an earth saver like Greta.” My students were so surprised that Greta was actually real. Such a great classroom read!

Wonderful story! My kids love it!
Beautiful illustrations, well-made, and with a story that warms my heart and brings tears to my eyes every time I read it to my kids. So worth the price, and with such an important message for the people who will inherit the destruction wrought by their predecessors. I highly recommend this wonderful book to you and yours!

Wonderful book overly and unnecessarily packaged
Absolutely wonderful book! I ordered this for my class as we are currently writing biographies on Greta and we were excited when it arrived at our classroom today HOWEVER we were not happy with the ironically unnecessary plastic packaging used. It took away from the thrill of a new book but was promising to see young people’s reactions to this. Would recommend the book but perhaps I will be more patient next time and visit my local bookshop.

Inspirational and relevant
Firstly we loved that a 3% donation was given to Greenpeace UK from the sale of this book. The story is inspired by the incredibly inspirational Greta Thunberg. It's a gentle story about how the giants are destroying the forest and making the animals unhappy, the animals ask greta to help them, she feels so sad she comes up with an idea to try make the giants change their ways. The story has a happy ending, the concept and morals of the story is definitely relevant and essential for the next generation to learn about in a gentle and proactive way. There is a page at the back with the inspiring headline "No one is too small to help"It lists some ways we can all help greta fight the giants in the real world and lists some excellent websites for further education on the subject. We loved the sentence at the bottom stating "You might not think that it wont make a difference but if we all work together we can change the world".The book has lovely bold colourful illustrations and an important message for everyone, it also empowers children by showing they too can make a difference and help protect the things that are important to them.Very educational book which is loved as a story anytime and has also inspired my 5yr old daughter to want to find out more, its inspired several arts and craft projects. So glad I bought it and would recommend for any nature/planet/animal loving kids.

Perfect for caring kids
This book is beautifully presented and written for little ones to connect to the subject. Our little girl cares about the world and said she wanted all children to have a copy. My only slight comment is we made sure we read this together when we had a little time for the questions and thoughts that came from it. Our little girl was unclear about the "Giants" in the story until this was explained but would highly reccomend

Hero for kids
My 3 yo son absolutely loves this book. Its hard to find books that hold his attention and he's wanted this the past 7 days. I also love that Greta in real life has aspergers, my son is on the spectrum and to have a book where the hero is like him makes it extra special.
