Hodder Children's Books The Magic Faraway Tree: The Folk of the Faraway Tree: 3

This (and the others in the series) brings back some great memories and was my first real book (and series). My little one is too young for this just yet, but I just had to buy it as a classic addition to his growing library.The deluxe books are lovely, nice and big (A4 size) and the art work very Roald Dahl'esque, which children love.The stories and the adventures the characters get up to are charming, fun and whisk a young mind away to a very special place in their imaginations, and dare I say it... a magical place!

I read all of the books in this series to my little boy at bed time (5 years old) this summer and he loved them just as I did when I was read them at his age. The faraway series is a magical set of books with beautiful imagery to spark a child's imagination. Also, as a side note I contacted the publisher with a query and they were amazingly helpful too. 5 stars all round!!

Different from any story I have ever read.

What can I say? My child of 5 and even my 3 years old just LOVED IT.
