Seller customer service excellent! Plastic clamp broke/malfunction
Update!!!Seller provided excellent product replacement options and great customer service. I've updated my feedback to five stars due to the fabulous seller/customer service issued for this product. Kudos!Post base broke while installing... The clamp that the flex rod attached to has broken during the installation. I'm disappointed with the plastic clamp, but the rest is fine.

Broke in 5 minutes - vendor suggestion on how to adjust not practical
I did read the reviews and actually bought this just for the "flexible" part intended to use a custom 3d printed base with it... however its not even good for parts at this price. There are two problems with this:1) the "flexible" arm is about as stiff as 10GA solid steel wire and the PVC jacket around it is not glued to the wire making it very hard to just bend the arm using 2 hands (not touching the base).2) The base is about as good as other similar products in this category, however the arm is attached such that it is very weak (very stiff metal glued or pushed into a small plastic hole with thin walls)The vendors suggestion to use two hands and only apply pressure to the arm allowed this to last about 5 minutes, but a slight torque to the arm broke loose the laughably poor joint between the arm and the base. The other similar product I have (which they doubled the price on recently) is visually similar but the arm is a little softer and the attachment point much sturdier, you can attach the base to something them push the arm around to get it into place. With this product since the much stiffer arm wire is just pushed into a slightly too large PVC sleeve its almost impossible to bend into shape as the wire inside slides around inside the PVC jacket.Given how poorly built the arm itself is (the reason I bought it) I'm going to return it -- its a low value for a piece of stiff steel wire.In my opinion this product is completely unusable for what it is sold and is a low value for spare parts as even the main part (the arm) was manufactured using very poor quality materials and methods compared to similar products.

It's cheap and it broke, but it still works.....
So honestly, I'm a little disappointed. I read the other reviews, and kinda thought they we're a little bit silly. To expect something that is flexible and almost 3 feet long, that clamps to a table, to hold a tablet or phone still while you're using it without having to support it at all, is ludicrous. Yes, that was a bit of a run-on. Physics aside, you seemed to have awefully high hopes for something that was only 10 bucks. While it did seem stiff at first, I got it to do what I wanted it for, which was to hold my phone over the bed to watch movies on prime. Then I tried to make a small adjustment, and...... it broke. Accidentally grabbed the phone holder and pulled instead of the flexible arm. The ball broke off from the end of it. This was actually a blessing in disguise. I removed the ball from the split clamp, ran a zip tie through it and reseated the adjustment nut on the back. I used the zip tie to secure it to the end of the arm, which really positioned it better, because it didn't have to be so close to have it pointed in the right direction. So, while I broke it about 30 minutes after I opened it, it's still performing the task that I originally intended, after some minor structural adjustments. I still don't expect it to be perfectly still when I touch it, it has no problem supporting my phone. And if you say it won't close up enough to hold a phone, turn the phone the other way..... just saying.

Waste of money
Doesn't clap very well. Doesn't stay in place. If a call comes or to click a new episode the clap part begins to slide or wiggle back and forth. When I tried to tighten so it would stop the wiggle there was a loud snap noise. The plastic inside the twist part broke. I tried many different ways to clap this. Nope didn't work until it really didn't anymore. Waste of money.

An Earthquake in every tap
Possitives:CheapSturdyCons:It's overly sturdy, trying to bend it into shape is like a trip to the gymIt won't hold a 7" Tablet securely on the sides but won't open wide enough to grab it long ways eitherIt's not even a little stable, every tap makes the Device wave about like you're on the high seas or in an earth quake and the harder you tap it the more animated it gets
