Knitted Menagerie: 30 Adorable Creatures to Knit

A fantastic book. I've made 2 of the patterns so far and plan to make many more. The patterns are clearly written and instructions easy to follow. The finished products are really cute, I highly recommend. There is variability in difficulty - e.g., the sloth is made mostly in garter stitch, and the dragonfly involves a little lacework for the wings. It's a great book for beginners and more advanced knitters alike.

Some unusual but lovely patterns with good clear instructions.

I'm a very poor knitter, but even I found these animals easy to make (admittedly I've only completed the beaver so far). They're knitted on small needles (3.25mm), so they grow pretty slowly. I'd definitely recommend this book for anyone interested in knitting stuffed toys/animals.

Lovely patterns

This is a great book! I’ve only been learning to knit for a few weeks, and wanted some projects which would be pretty quick to show me some outputs. I’m quite impatient like that. 🤣 In 2 weeks, I’ve done the lion and the elephant. Is the lion’s mane a little wonky? Yes. Does the elephant have one foot inexplicably bigger than the other three? Also yes. But, have I enjoyed doing them? Very much so! Now trolling the charity shops near me for wool, so I can make more of these delightful little critters.

Sarah Keen’s books are excellent.. the patterns are so straightforward, and the results are just as seen, on the very entertaining photos. I buy every new copy, as I spot it. Recommend for starter knitters..👌👌👌

I make a lot of soft toys for children. So far I have completed one for a 5 yr old boy. He takes it with him everywhere.
