Richland Votive Candles Pink Unscented 10 Hour Burn Set of 72

I have burned these for the past 3 days and have gotten at least 10 hours out of each votive. No smoke, clean burning. I love them so much I purchased the larger set of 144 before the spring/summer heat sets in. (they can melt while being shipped in hot weather)There is nothing like a candle burning in the evening to make you feel a sense of peace and comfort. I keep a few around the house, in case of power outage, with a box of small, wooden matches on top of the votive holder and candle.I burn these votives inside of a correct fitting votive holder (shown below). I then put the unlit candle and holder inside of a mason jar (pint-size). Then use a long, bbq instant lighter to light the wick. The jar helps with keeping the fans from causing too much air-flow to hit the flame (and causing the candle to not burn for 10 hours.Each of my candles have burned down to nothing but the round, metal wick-holder, nothing to clean out of the bottom of the glass after burning all the way down.TIPS:Use a votive holder! I bought this set:  Clear Glass Votive Holders (1 Dz) You MUST use the correct size candle holder for these candles. Those holders are an exact fit for these candles. You will have a good 1-inch clearance from the top of the votive to the top of the glass holder. It also helps with draft(below).Do not burn in a drafty place! Any wind or air movement will make the candle burn faster.Your glass votive holders will get hot. Keep from touching the holder while candle is burning.You will get a layer of melted wax above the votive...this will be pure liquid wax! Be careful of spills. This is why it is important to use the correct size votive holder, if not, your wax will spread and leave a long wick that will burn in no-time.***Timed burning: 11 hours 35 minutes according to my stop watch, for one candle in candle holder.

These candles were purchased with an intent to use at my wedding reception. While the deep rich purple was the perfect color and was as advertised, I was very disappointed in the performance of the actual product. Additionally the packaging was not adequate and one of the boxes of 12 was open and the candles banged around in the box during shipping damaging all 12. And one candle was actually missing entirely. When I called them, the customer service was good and they did send me a replacement box free of charge. BUT unfortunately I cannot use these for my reception because after a test burn of two candles, they did not burn the advertised 10 hours. And actually burned for only 3 hours and 15 minutes. So while the price was good for what you get, beware if you need them to burn for more than 3 hours.

The "10 hour" burn time is a joke. I bought the black votive candles for my wedding, and they were burning for less than 4 hours before they had completely melted and leaked through the containers they were in. They ruined the containers, and linens we had. We now have to throw away the linens we purchased (that a friend was going to borrow for her wedding), and we will likely have to pay for the base linens the venue provided. MORAL OF THE STORY: the black votive candles burned way faster than the "10 hour" claim and could have caught the linens on fire.

I was looking for votives to use in my Halloween candle holders, and these worked out perfectly. Color was as shown when I picked it (purple in this case). I was worried at first as they looked a bit small for the 10 hour burn time that was advertised, but the right most candle (in the 3 candle picture) is what's left after almost 10 hours of burn time. I lit that one at 6pm, and the picture is from just before 4am. And with 72 candles in the package, it'll last me a good chunk of time this season. Very happy with this purchase.

Ordered the Richland votive candles on Wednesday 12/6 and they arrived this morning at 11:45 AM on 12/8. I immediately opened the box and inspected the candles. They were all perfect, none of them were broken, all the wicks were in place. I wanted to see how long they would last, so I lit one this morning at 11:50 AM and now at 10:06 PM it is still going strong. These candles do not have a plastic sleeve around them, but I had some left over from the last order, so I put the candle into the plastic sleeve before lighting it. I doubt that makes a difference in the longevity of the candle. Definitely a good purchase - How many two candles for $19.96. Will definitely buy this brand again. I highly recommend. Also the color I purchased was white.

Short review: cute looking, unscented candles that burn for about 9h or moreSo I actually bought these a long time ago but never bothered to leave a review. Now I'm running low on these candles so I looked them up again and was a bit surprised at some reviews here that say they only last 4-5h. I was curious because I've never actually timed them. I only light them up in the evening, leave them on for a few hours before turning them off for bed.Long story short, this morning I lit one at 9:30 AM, set a timer for 4h, then 1h repeatedly throughout the day. It was still burning at dinner around 7 PM. Regrettably I forgot to reset the timer after dinner and also forgot to check in on it so I don't know when it went out. But that's at least 9 and a half hours.So maybe there are some bad batches? Honestly I don't know but based on my result I'm ordering another box.
