This is a great sports watch, packed with features and for the price, hard to beat. Being a Casio you know it will last due to its robust quality build. The screen is a great size, clear large digits make it easy to see at a glance, and the night light is very effective at illuminating the dial in darkness. This was sent to me from the USA as was hard to find in the UK and was delivered a number of days before the estimate, well packed and in perfect condition. I am very happy and it is a great addition to my collection, I bought this watch for my skiing trips so it will be well used and appreciated.

This is a fantastic Casio watch and very much worth the £27 asking price. The display is large and very clear and no part of this watch feels cheap. The battery has an apparent lifespan of 10 years and the watch can be used up to 100m underwater which is brilliant. Overall the watch is very comfortable on my wrist and looks great. I’m very happy. On the negative side the watch was shipped from Amazon US which I had hoped would be at least shipped in a box but wasn’t. It came in a thin bag as if was being shipped to a local address in the US and consequently the Casio box was in bits after 2 weeks shipping when it arrived but thankfully the watch was ok so in future I would think twice prior to ordering anything from outside Amazon US.

Well first off I think it important to emphasise that I do like this watch a lot, and am keeping it, regardless of the fact that it has the idiotic backwards date display of the month before the day. Also please be aware that the Casio warranty on these watches serms to be only for California, so any problems you are told to contact the place from where you made the purchase - I believe therefor that they are imports. The first thing I noticed is that the LCD display was not as 'clear' as I was expecting it to be. That is to say that the contrast between the time elements and the black was not as demarked as it seems to be in pictures or review shots. The result is of course that it can be pretty difficult to see on dull days and so even in the daytime you may be using the light although angling the watch just right will also work. Doing this will probably allow the watch to get close to the promised 10 year battery life. On the plus side the built-in light it relatively good and really does a good job of illuminating the elements of the watch (though nit as brightly as in my pictures). Other than that, which is a minor issue, and the idiotic Anerican backwards date display, for the price this watch is brilliant. It is comfortable on the wrist, it is satisfyingly large and chunky, even on my rather large wrists and it looks great too. It came with 'real' instructions in a thick multi-langwage booklet, but you won't need them. The labelling on the buttons are enough to get it done with little or no effort. It has five alarms (which I will never use). It has a Countown Timer, also which I will never use. It has a stopwatch, which I will use and a Dual Time which in my case, I set for the change in summer/winter. It can also be changed between 12/24 hour display with the press of a button, each press in timekeeping mode switches it, leaving a 'P' to the left of the hour in the afternoon for the12 hour display. It's comfortable to wear, the stepped indents on the strap near the watch allow for good air circulation, it's pretty light and the acrylic covering the face is well protected, being a good 3mm below the top of the outer rim of the case. So all in all it is well worth the money. So much so that in 2025 I bought the other versions; this model and the greenish one, both with the standard display.

Gotta love this one... The display font size is huge, which is really helpful for older eyes...!!! I noticed one other reviewer here that suspected G-Shock internals and I totally understand why anyone would think or say that, this thing is tough indeed...!!! I have a growing collection of these inexpensive Casio digital watches, some G-Shocks too, but this AE-1500 is a major go to watch for me... One thing that might appeal to some people greatly, is that this is the ultimate watch for overnight use... That display size and the nice & bright Illuminator mean that you can see the time almost instantly, without getting too disturbed - a real advantage...!!! One caveat is that it is a big watch though, so do bear that in mind if you have smaller wrists... Very highly recommended and a genuine bargain...!!!

Compré este Casio buscando un reloj digital para el día a día que fuera práctico y resistente, y superó mis expectativas. Lo mejor, sin duda, es su pantalla. Los números son GIGANTES y súper claros. Se puede leer la hora de un vistazo, incluso con poca luz o sin las gafas puestas. Es una maravilla para quienes priorizan la funcionalidad sobre cualquier otra cosa. Además de la excelente visibilidad, el reloj es muy cómodo, ligero y tiene un diseño casual/militar en color caqui muy versátil. Las funciones básicas de Casio (alarma, cronómetro, luz LED) funcionan perfectamente. Pros: Lectura de hora inmejorable: Números grandes y nítidos. Comodidad: Correa de resina ligera y cómoda. Durabilidad: Se siente robusto y listo para el trote diario. Relación calidad-precio: Insuperable por el precio que tiene. Contras: La correa de resina es básica, pero cumple su función perfectamente. En resumen, si buscas un reloj sin complicaciones, con una visibilidad excepcional y el respaldo de Casio, este modelo es una compra maestra. ¡Muy recomendado!

Great watch. This is an inexpensive watch with great quality. The large size of the font makes this watch very easy to read. In my line of work, I need to time events in seconds, so the large seconds helps a lot as does the second counter on the right side of the display. It is comfortable and light weight. I also like that this watch will not attract attention and make me a target of a theft. The illumination is adequate and I have no problem reading the time. The window appears to be acrylic, so I added a screen protector, also available from Amazon.ca.

Stor o fin . Hoppas armbandet håller bättre än det gjorde på min tidigare casio. Lite skum visning,men snygg,stor och lätt att navigera !
