My family has always liked freeze-dried foods. It all started with Astronaut Ice Cream. Thankfully these fruit snacks are much healthier.Each package has .36 oz by dried weight which is not a very large amount but seems to be just about the right amount. If you are new to eating freeze-dried fruits you will definitely want to take it slow as it some times it takes new tummies a few smaller portions to get used to a new food type. Like almost anything it can make your stomach a little upset if you eat too much at one time.I am used to eating apples and pears and I found these to be quite good compared to the other brands I have tried in the past. The texture is great and the flavor is very good as well. These fruits must have been very good prior to freeze-drying and the perfect ripeness.Trying this Variety Pack was my first introduction to freeze-dried tangerine. I have not had dried citrus before. I must say that it was quite tart at first, but very good. I really like them now. They are my favorite actually. The sections are full size pieces of tangerine and the texture is crisp, and they just melt in your mouth. Very good.The only minor gripe I have is that I wish there were equal parts of each flavor and not more apples than the rest. I can understand that apples are much more economical for them to produce, but an equal mix would have been preferred by me. Otherwise I do have to give this brand and this variety pack 5 stars!I am glad I had the opportunity to try them. I have added them to my Subscribe and Save automatic delivery now! On a mission to kick my sugar habit, eat healthier, and lose weight. Been worrying what I’ll do when summer and fresh fruits are gone. Came across these when I was looking for options. Of course you can’t compare it to a juicy, fresh apple, pear, or tangerine but I was pleasantly surprised to find this very low calorie/no sugar fruit snack! Love that the ingredient list is not a list. It’s just the fruit! They’re quite tasty and satisfy my craving for something sweet, in a healthy way. I add them to the “trail mix” I make for myself with nuts and such and it makes a great fruit addition. All the other dried fruit options I looked at were higher in sugar and calories. Just bought my second box of these and I expect it to be a regular item I’ll keep in my pantry.

This is great. I discovered that freeze dried fruit is way easier to eat than just dried fruit which is sometimes hard or rubbery and not easy to snack on at the office between calls since I am on the phone a lot. Where I normally get freeze dried fruit really only has apples, strawberries, bananas and blueberries, which are great, but I got this box for the oranges and peaches (apples too, but I have had the apples before). I have tried both and I will likely be ordering this box again. There are several packages and I can easily take them to work and have a snack that isn't so bad for me, easy to eat, and not messy. I have to admit I was skeptical about the oranges since you expect an orange to be juicy, but I do really like them. If you like other freeze dried fruit, I really don't think you will go wrong with these.

These are relatively cost-affective, and of course they keep well, so they can be handy to keep lying around. The flavors of the pear and apple bites are good, but the tangerine ones are extremely tart. It makes sense, but it's still not pleasant to eat.My main problem is that removing the moisture from fruit even beyond regular drying makes them pretty unsatisfying. I value fruit in my lunches to add sweetness and satiety, the latter largely due to the fiber, and these don't really cut it. Even if the nutrients are there, it's like eating air.

I would rather have these than chips. The first bag of apples was so aromatic and crunchy that my daughter and I sat with our eyes closed, mmmhhing as we slowly devouried every bite. We've been that way over a really fine bottle of wine before, so this was strange to get so enamored with dried fruit.I was in elementary school when NASA went to the moon. My husband and I both remember the big deal Tang was when it was released to the public "Drink what the astronauts drink" and how that tangerine orange powder was a taste unlike anything else. You didn't want kool-aid or orange juice...you wanted Tang with your breakfast.These are the Tang for everyday favorites: apple, banana, pear, and tangerine. Put them in my lunchbox beside my PBJ and replace the potato chip and the apple. I won't be trading food with my lunch buddies.

Great flavor! There was more in the package than it seemed. The freeze dried fruit was pretty light so the package seemed light but there was still a good amount for a snack. The colors were good. The fruit had a bit of a crunch which was pleasing. The texture was quite good. Overall an excellent snack. No added stuff, just fruit. I will buy this again.

This is a great product. The idea that you can store a dozen apples in a closet for however long you want is great.!!WARNING!! There is a learning curve to eating freeze dried citrus fruits. I'm joking when I say this, but watch out with those tangerine chips. If you're not ready for it, you're getting a blast of unbuffered (because all the water is removed), concentrated sourness right on your tongue! :)There's an episode of the Simpson's where Homer drinks the sweetest drink in the world. Well, it's like that, only this is the most sour thing in the world.
