Assembly too hard for a child on his/her own
I've spent £4 more to have english instructions. More fool me, the 'instructions' were only pictures. The finished product is not worth the price either.

You're not old enough to build this. Nobody is.
I have put together many challenging things in my life, including, recently, an entire flat-packed kitchen. Compared to this set, the kitchen was a breeze. This set says 8+, and my daughter loves STEM and animals, so I got it for her birthday. HAHAHAHA. No 8yo could assemble this. It ought to say "One year older than whatever age you are." This thing requires adult hand strength and the patience of a saint.

It is awful, frustrating even for adults to put together!
Difficult to follow video as well. Printed instructions were a joke. Cat doesn’t even stand up. I found my daughter laying face down out of frustration trying to put this together herself. I had to help with the video, but it still took us 45+ minutes. Do NOT buy this as a gift for someone unless you are trying to make them an enemy. Seriously, it’s just awful. The back of the box actually says “Each kit also includes an illustrated manual with easy, step by step instructions for multiple designs” .....don’t believe it!!!!!

Nightmare to assemble, but pretty in the dark
I bought this after a search for best gift for a nine year old girl. My granddaughter was happy to receive it, but once we began to assemble it "together", it became quickly apparent that it was not easy to assemble and certainly not within a 9 year old's ability. I'm quite skilled with fine motor and visual tasks, but I needed both the included picture directions and the You Tube video (pausing it every few seconds, due to the speed at which the assembler was demonstrating, as well as rewinding to see what exactly she had done) to figure it out, making many missteps. Imagine my dismay when, after taking hours to get it together, the video showed having to break it apart to install the lighting. I even got lost putting it back together. It's not very attractive in daylight, but does make a great nightlight for a little girl. The box says "45 minutes to assemble". It took 20 to separate all of the pieces. The birds eye view on the video was helpful, but I never had a good view from the top, which is where I got caught up. Were I given the chance to do this over, I would not have purchased this.
