Aladdin Lamps High Altitude Heel-Less Chimney #R905

This works well but is a VERY tight fit. I put it on my Aladdin 23 and, in fitting it down, accidentally hit the mantle, skewing it just slightly to one side. Oops! Now I can only get about 70% of the maximum or it’ll “burn” the mantle. That’s okay because it still puts out a LOT of heat and light. When I change mantles I’ll be very careful in seating it.

This high altitude chimney made all the difference as I live at 8,000 feet. No I have bright white light and no sooty mantle.

Works as advertised. I live right at the elevation where the high altitude chimney becomes necessary. This chimney certainly improved my lamps performance and it does burn brighter now. I gave it 3 stars because it came with a small crack (no noticeable damage to the box or packaging). With the drastic temperature changes that the chimney experiences in normal operation, im sure the crack will get worse.

Will also boost light output at any altitude, especially with the new low output mantles, essential for high altitudes.
