Modernized my old AC unit.
I use it with a bedroom window air conditioner and I'm on my second season with it. Works perfectly. I think the people having problems are using this with space heaters drawing 1500 watts. A small AC unit only draws 500-600w. If you do use it with a space heater you should probably keep it on the lower setting.

Reliable
I bought this to run a heater in my garage to protect my collector car during the winter in New England. Works great and very happy with the reliability.

Works great!
First, thank you to the person that said her daughter wasn’t good with remotes and suggested to get the option where the temp is measured by the plug rather than the remote. I don’t need to change the settings often so there is no need to have the remote laying out in the open. It’s tucked away in a drawer and the temp of the drawer is not important as the air around it.This plug works really well. Be sure to set it with at least a 5 minute delay. I have finicky breakers and this has been plugged in for a few weeks straight without any problems. I have a $30 space heater plugged into, so it’s not a high end heater and it is doing well with the delay shut offs at 5mins. Once I read the directions it is very easy to set. You set the low and the high. So I have it set to shut off at 67 degrees. I have the low set at 64. It hovers around 65 most of the time which is perfect for me. It has alarms you can set too. So it can wake you or alert you if the room gets below or above a certain temp. This would be really important if it being used as a primary source of heat in a room with pipes, plants, or children. Most likely indicating something is wrong with the heater that is plugged into it.One thing to note for those sensitive to light and sound. When the unit kicks on or kicks off, a bright green light beams off the remote and the click of the heater turning on or off can be heard. The light and the click only last a quick second. It doesn’t bother me since I keep the remote in the drawer. I sleep with a sleep mask anyway. But wanted to put it out there in case anyone has concerns. Again, it’s only for a second but it is bright.Other than that, I highly recommend this. I wish I found it sooner. I plan to get another one and plug it into a timer to heat up my sun room in the morning so I can do yoga in there during winter months.

Exactly what I needed!
The upstairs of my old house has poor insulation. In a mild winter, I can get by with one of those tiny 500 watt Amazon Basics heaters (love those too, by the way). However, they don’t have a thermostat. This completely negates that problem. I find the bright green sensing light to be a little obnoxious in a dark room at night, but I just put a tiny sticker over it and place it somewhere I can’t see it out of the corner of my eye (it’s not as if it blinks nonstop, so don’t let this deter you). I’m delighted by this purchase and don’t wake up sweltering. I also plugged it into my Alexa controlled surge protector.I’m interested to try it with the window AC in the summer. I do have a remote temperature sensor for that as well, but I’m not sure it always works. The remote sensor is exactly what so many heating and cooling products lack.I would absolutely purchase this again for other spaces. Read the directions. I admit I tried pressing all of the buttons first…

Better Features, Easier Operation
I have previously purchased, and still use, a Nashone Wireless Thermostat but much prefer the DIGITEN Wireless Thermostat because the remote is easier to use and the thermometer can be calibrated to match another device, if needed. Also, the on-off points can be set separately, which allows control of the duty cycle of the controlled device. I am using it to control a 12.5 Amp electric heater. My only complaint is that the button on the plug module is overridden by the remote after a few seconds. The complaint is very minor, because the remote offers an easily accessible "Always On" or "Always Off" option.

These do not work as thermostat
I tried two in a row and they just flat out do not work except as a remote on/off switch. The thermometer reads higher than actual temperature in room, but even worse it will not turn on/off the outlet power based on thermostat settings no matter what you do. I am highlt technical and worked 30yrs doing breakfix/warranty work for IBM and HP. I lived, ate, and breathed techical stuff the entire time. So its not operator error. Its a very bad product.

Remote not reading temps correctly
I installed this about a week ago to control my AC and it worked well for the first few days, turning on and off at the correct temperature. After around day 3, I noticed my AC was not turning on when it was noticeably hot in my room (10’x10’). I’m not sure what happened but I’ve been forced to use it in manual mode, which eliminates the entire point of purchasing this product. 2 stars because at one point it worked well…

Bad thermostat - Great Customer support
Using this on a 1,500 watt space heater in the bedroom that has no other heat source. The thermostat on the heating unit is a dial and extremely hard to adjust the desired temperature accurately. In addition the thermostat on the heating unit is located on the unit, so not representative of the actual air temperature across the room. This thermostat has a remote control that is also the thermostat, so you can place it where you want. It even works with the plug-in portion located behind furniture. This unit is basically plug N play and you only have to set the temperature for on and off. If you want to turn the unit off during the day you can also do that from the remote. I am very pleased with this thermostat, It does exactly what I was looking for it to do! Highly recommend. Edit: 3 months of use and then it stopped, the unit that plugs into the wall is melted and you can see burn marks on the back. No fire, but I think it was close. Would now give zero stars as it could be a bad safety hazard. Edit: Supplier was super fast to answer my e-mail concern and promptly issued a full refund.
