Make us feel more secured!
Recently, news about burglaries in the neighbourhood are heard from time to time. Panicked, many of my neighbours hired professionals to install surveillance systems around their houses. My husband is a handy and technical guy; he chose this product and installed it around our house himself, saving us a lot of money. He is very satisfied with the product. The set meets all our expectations. The cameras are great! Deliver very clear pictures in daylight and in the night time! Now it’s very convenient to know what’s going on around the house through the four cameras!

4 months later, system doesn't work.
Took a couple hours running the cables to camera locations. Once set up, couldn't get it to turn on, on our TV’s. Finally hooked it up to a computer monitor and it worked great. The menu “english” is less than perfect. But eventually worked through the menus and have a running system. During daylight the view is pretty clear. You can switch between SD and HD. Night vision, lacks power. The IR shines like a tight flashlight beam so only that area is clear at night. I live on an acreage so there’s almost zero light outside at night. With an outside light on though its pretty clear. The motion alarm wouldn’t stop ringing my phone. So its useless. It’s only been a day so I can’t comment on longevity or waterproofness. The camera are really lightweight and cheap feeling. But I think it’s a good deal for $200 so far and if used inside, they should last a long time. Its unfortunate there isn't a listing for the cameras by themselves as its a 8 channel DVR.Update: system no longer works. Somehow changed a setting that changed the display settings and I could no longer see the cameras on my monitor. Just used the mobile app to watch the cameras but that stopped working too. Useless.

Update: System is giving me fits now
Really impressed with the price I paid for it, Shipping was not what was promised but I think that was on UPS not amazon or this seller, I thought I saw something about metal housing for the cameras but I could be mistaken but just a FYI these are plastic, Also no weather proof connections for the cameras outside, Havent had an issue yet with that but we will see, Make sure you have a backup monitor if you plan on hooking this up to a tv, my 55 inch tv would not support the resolution out the box but was able to fix it on another tv, tech support via email was kinda slow and broken english but I had already figured it out.. Good for the moneyEdit: Dropped a star, Less than 3 months now I am starting to have the system reboot on its own, The video files are sometimes corrupted. I did add 2 of the Zoshi (I think thats how you spell it) Cameras and the difference is Apples to oranges, metal frame cameras and the level of detail is off the charts compared to the ones that came with the system, 1 of which the Infrared lights are already out on, Have till the end of the month to return it thanks to the christmas return policy, trying to decide if that is what I want to do and get a system from the Zoshi (or however you spell it) Will add some screenshot recordings laterUpdate 2: Have lost 2 of the cameras that came with the system, (replaced with other ones off amazon) Now DVR starts power cycling throughout the day, This was a 8 channel system and the only way to keep it from cycling is to drop 2 of the channels, so can run only 6, there is no fan on the internal workings of it and it does get warm wondering if that is what could be the problem. Also, the UI is a pain in the rear, you can only access it either through the box itself, or have to use internet explorer and use settings that cause microsoft to basically yell you are an idiot just to get into the workings of a box and im pretty sure im seeing someone trying to come behind my firewall to see my system. not the biggest expert on that kind of thing but something isnt right in that dept. You get what you pay for so be careful. much like the broken English you get in anything related to this company, its also the standard for the stuff they sell, will be replacing the whole unit before long
