Penguin Young Readers The Tale of Peter Rabbit

Interesting for my grandson

I was really disappointed in this book. The illustrations were nice and I loved the idea of the sounds to accompany it but the story just felt choppy and the book didn't tell you when to push the buttons for sounds.. you get to the end of the text and then it shows a bunch of buttons to push for sounds but its not well incorporated and feels like an afterthought. It was a nice attempt and I seem to be the only one who feels this way based on the glowing reviews, so maybe you'll like it, but I did not. Too bad.

My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter has hundreds of books but she loves the ones which make a noise. I saw her walking around with a. Little stuffed Peter Rabbit and knew she would love this book! So will her 4 year old sister!

This is the kind of book every grandmother loves, short with lots of lovely sounds and pictures to enhance the story, the sounds are most unusual for a book, but match the story beautifully.

Terrible! Poor Beatrix Potter would be horrified! Big cheaply printed paperback with only black and white illustrations! Perhaps I should have read the description more carefully but I can’t imagine that anyone would be pleased with this book. So disappointing!

It is a soft cover book. Only the cover is in color. The rest of the book is in black and white.Not what I expected.
