This is perhaps the best coin bank I've ever used! I didn't had to read the instructions that it came with, I pretty much figured everything out on my own. Not sure why people are saying that it's defective or the battery dies, well technically if the cap is not in use, then the digital amount will not display, this will actually save battery, not drain it. I also would like to point out that sometimes it can't get the amount correctly, it mistaken a dime for a penny, however by pushing the slider further, the cap will determine the actual amount that is being inserted. Overall, this is a really good product, slightly sturdy with held, and great for keeping my money stored.

I ordered this for my son-in-law for a gift and had it sent directly to him because he lives in another state. When he came home, it was sitting on the front porch in the manufacturer's box with a sticker with his name and address on it. Since this was for Christmas, I am disappointed that the box had a picture of the item on all four sides of the box. I will make sure I mark "gift" on every present I send from now on.

I bought this for my husband after getting 2 similar ones for our kids. He loves collecting all of his loose change in this handy container.

Only problem with that I had with this product is the deduction and additional coins with the buttons which didn’t work at all And sometimes it does because you have to really press the button steep inbut if you do put coins it does count them in sometimes it does mistaken for larger coins Did you put smaller coins

The bank is unable to accurately differentiate between dimes and pennies (dimes register as pennies almost every time), so the total on the display screen is wrong. The buttons that are supposed to allow you to add or subtract money also do not work, so there is no way to match the display with the actual amount inside the bank. What a bust. Do not buy.
