I'm preparing to perform the role of "The Big Bad Wolf" in our local theatre production of "Shrek: The Musical". In case you haven't seen the play, the Wolf is, shall we say, partial to ladies' garments? The very mean "Lord Farquuad" tore her cotton granny dress and called him a hot 'n tranny mess!My director asked me to find an outrageous (Yet stylish!) pair of go go boots to adorn the Wolf's sequined party dress for "her" big "reveal" at the end of the show. The hunt was on, but where to start? Where else, but Amazon?! I wear a size 11 men's shoe, and found out that womens' sizes are to be a good 2 numbers up from the mens. Aha! So why are we discussing the merits of a size 14 instead of 13, you ask? Because, dear reader of reviews, I did just what are doing now; research! I am grateful to fellow reviewers who had stated their boots ran on the small side. That, added with the free returns peace of mind, led me to purchase these size 14's.The fit: They are very comfortable! Now I know it sounds crazy, but I am not used to wearing heels! The stack and extra tall heel looked daunting at first, and I stood near by several tall pieces of furniture for support, and my wife helped me get my balance (she never snickered, nor uttered any sigh of derision!) the balance was quite comfortable and easier to navigate than I had expected; a good thing, since there is a bit of choreography to be performed, and I have every confidence it can be done in these boots! My calves are not crammed into these, and so no need to get the wide size.The finish: These are the white patent stretch, and they are quite glossy! The side zipper works easily, with no appearance of stress at the seams.The result: One very satisfied actor who is excited to strut his "Wolfish" stuff for the production! My son starred as Sam Carmichael in his high school musical representation of Mamma Mia and he and the costume designer got the bright idea for the "Dads" to come out for "Waterloo" scene in their disco suits wearing these boots, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the show! Seeing 3 outstanding performing teenaged boys dance and sing in these boots was hilarious and wonderful. The boots held up performance after performance, and the boys said they were surprisingly comfortable and easy to dance in despite being 5" high. As a mom I appreciate that the boots were available in their size (12 men's) and arrived so quickly.

I absolutely LOVE these boots! I wore them in a show a few years ago, and I decided to buy myself my own pair. I do put an orthotic in the shoe to give me a little extra arch support... but they would still be good without it. And the silver wears really well, with no scuffing.

Oh my goodness these are so cute on! Package arrived earlier than expected and the boots are in perfect condition. I am 5.5 and 128# with a calf circumference of 13". These are not snug, but hopefully with more weight training they will be soon. :) The height is perfect; I do not like to wear heels, but the platform evens them up nicely. The bottom of the boot has a rubber surface so these will not slide and they are quiet when walking, this is a big plus for me. I could wear these all day if they weren't a bit snug in the toe area. I usually wear an 8.5 in shoes with socks so I ordered these in an 8 to wear with stockings. I called customer service to exchange them for an 8.5 and the representative advised me that they do not offer half sizes. She was certainly willing to work with me on turn around to meet the time frame I needed; however, I opted to keep the 8's concerned that 9's would be too big. These will look awesome with several different outfits throughout the year. I would definitely recommend this seller based on the customer service I received and I would purchase these again in other colors if needed in the future. I will try to remember to post a pic in the future when I wear these.

I gave them 5 stars because once I get the right size, they'll be perfect. Most reviews say they are true to size, and because I can vary between a 9 and a 9.5 depending on the shoe, I ordered a 10 to be on the safe side. I'd just order a similar pair of wonder woman shoes and the 9 was JUST too small; my toes crunched against the front enough to be uncomfortable. So I'm waiting on a 10 in those, and I thought I should be good with a 10 on these... but NOPE, they fit EXACTLY like the 9 did...squished toes just enough to be uncomfortable. It's more likely I got a 9 mislabeled as a 10, but I'm going to have to exchange for an 11. I cringe at the thought, because I've NEVER worn a size 11. A 10 is almost always too big. A little inconvenient, but I'm in a quest for the perfect boots for my cosplay...I know these are it if I can just get the right size :) Also, my calves are 14" and they were a little snug zipping up, but they are patent leather, so they'll stretch enough to be comfortable after a little wear. Any bigger than 14" probably won't zip up.

Bought these for my Geri Spice from the Spice Girls costume for Halloween this year. I always get nervous when ordering shoes or clothes online, so I was pretty weary about ordering this (especially because they were $50). I read all of the reviews and I'm so happy I did. I'm 5'5", 140 lbs. and my shoe size is an 8 (once in a rare while I get an 8 1/2). After reading the reviews I decided to order a 9 because I would rather them be too big instead of too small. I'm so happy I did! The size 9 fit perfectly and the shoes were extremely comfortable and true to the picture. However, like most people commented on, it was a little tough zipping them up over my calf. I had a little trouble, but I still managered to get them zipped completely and wore them all night long at a party with no problems. I definitely recommend going up a size if you purchase these.

WAY to small. Not made for European feet. I'm a normal size 6 and this seemed like a child's size 3/4. No refund, extremely disappointing!

Diese Stiefel habe ich mir für den Karneval gekauft. Allerdings musste ich eine Nummer größer wählen, sie fallen klein aus. Für Damen mit etwas dickeren Waden ist dieser Stiefel nicht zu empfehlen, der wird nicht passen. Ich fand ihn trotz der Höhe super bequem. Bin damit mehrere Stunden unterwegs gewesen.

die Ware hat eine tolle Qualität. Wer allerdings etwas stärkere Waden hat, wird die Stiefel nicht anbekommen. Sie sehen aber richtig schick aus trotz der plateausohle und liegen schön an. die lieferung kam auf anfrage wegen dringlichkeit als kostenlose expresslieferung. das war klasse

Passen genau. Nicht zu eng oder zu groß im Schacht. Alle Angaben vom Hersteller stimmen überein.Wenn es etwas zu verbessern gäbe, dann der Kunststoffabsatz oder Sohle. Hier wäre ein Gummibeschichtung besser.
