I ordered this for a Pre-filter for my refrigerator supply water. I am a Sears trained appliance master technician. Here's how you can use this filter: Instead of replacing that EXPENSIVE refrigerator filter every 6 months, ADD this filter into the supply line going to the frig. It catches most of the contamination before it gets to the filter inside you frig, therefore preserving that main filter. Then you simply replace this $10 filter every 6 months and replace the more expensive filter ANNUALLY. Plus, I buy some of the better main frig filters from Amazon that cost HALF what your OEM filters cost and work just as good for just as long. Look at the reviews. That tells the story- usually.

We got this to make the water from our RO system taste a little bit more crisp, and it was absolutely worth it. It was a recommendation from ChatGPT, and to be honest, I was amazed my plumber friend never thought that this would be something that would change the taste, but even he has changed his mind. For $10 absolutely worth the money especially if you already have water filtration in your home this thing is gonna last forever for $10. It’s so worth it. It’s also a breeze to install.

Not the same item as described. I was counting on the NPT connection to adapt to my system. Instead the filter had no removable fittings but instead built in 3/8 quick connects. I had to add a bunch of fittings to compensate.. but it seems to work well as a filter.

Tank seemed to be adding funky flavor. Adding a post pressure tank carbon filter made the water right.

Does the job

Garbage. Lasted exactly one month on my small ice machine before the water was back to tasting of chlorine. Waste of money.

I put this in line from my RO tank to the butler tap, as there still seemed to be the slightest of taste to the water even after the RO. The fridge water was great as it has a fridge filter in line already. Easy connection and after purging the new filter....AMAZING!!!! I only bought one filter to ensure this was a fit and would work, so with these results of pure tasteless water now, I am ordering more.
