Very useful for standing work beside me to easier read while I'm typing into the computer. It has clip that can be used on the top, side or removed altogether. It has a sliding ruler that help you keep track of your position on the page or just use it to hold everything in place. Light weight, yet sturdy. It has an an adjustable stand at the back to position it at any angle.

Along with all the other suggested uses, note that this makes an excellent desk-top music stand (pic 1) if you don’t have room for a full-length, floor model, and is also perfect for other documents, books, recipes, etc. The one I received was in perfect condition and seems durable; it has lasted well for over four months of regular use so far. It is the advertized size when folded flat (13.9" x 8.3"), while the all-steel document-holding face is two mm. taller than the size of an A4 sheet of paper and exactly A4 in width (8-1/4" wide (21cm) by 11-7/8" (30cm)) in portrait position (pic1); it cannot be turned to landscape (horizontal position), although you can easily place e.g. a legal-paper-length clipboard (pic 3) or longer stiff rectangle on it horizontally or vertically and it can then support wider or taller items. Magnets adhere well to it. The base and clips are sturdy plastic, and both the top clip (which can also be put on the side) and the guideline clip can be removed. The top clip can hold at least 50 pages, but if you remove it and the guide clip, the stand can surprisingly hold up to around 510 pages (see pics 4 & 5). This is because the bottom clips have hinges far enough from the document holder.. Note: the guide clip has OPAQUE blue lines, so you cannot leave it atop a musical score or page and then read every line; several will be blocked. It serves better as a placeholder which you can move line by line to show what steps you’ve already done in instructions for cross-stitch or recipes. I generally don’t use it, as it’s not needed for holding my scores in place. The bottom has raised grooves (pic 2) so a piece of paper (or a few) won’t slip forward at the bottom, even if you don’t use the bottom clips (which don’t come off but can be swung forward as far as you like). I find them and the top clip unnecessary for holding simple documents, but helpful for e.g. opened, thinner booklets to keep the pages flat or when there’s wind. It flattens completely, quickly and easily for travel, and can easily be slipped into a backpack etc., even with a few pages attached. The price is reasonable for what you get. If it cost much less, the quality would probably not be as good as it is.
