JUST THE FACTS. NO ANALYSIS
Robert Keller, author of “The Deadly Dozen: America’s 12 Worst Serial Killers,” is far and away my pick for the most obsessed author I’ve ever read. His subject matter of choice is serial killers and he’s written at least 51 books with that being the central theme. He’s written about individual killers, the most vile killers, women that kill, serial killers, killers from around the world, doctors and nurses that kill, team killers, cannibal killers, executed serial killers, child killers, and his newest is about killer kids. I wonder if his neighbors feel comfortable with him so close. This particular book is short and to the point. He outlines the life and times of twelve serial killers, presenting their lives from childhood to the end of their violent sprees. He doesn’t mince words; he describes their crime in vivid detail. There are no editorializing or sensational details that become prurient, but the details of their actions are clearly outlined. If these monsters upset you with their callous crimes, then don’t read this book. I read it because it was free and I had a morbid curiosity as to where these twisted cretins came from. What prompted their actions and what compelled them continue their horrific practices? Was there remorse or repulsion after a killing? Those questions were not answered directly because that’s not Keller’s style. He claims to not having come close to answering those questions in his own mind.So there you have it: Just the facts.Schuyler T WallaceAuthor of TIN LIZARD TALES

Interesting and Well Written Serial Killer Read
I chose this book to read because the subject matter sounded interesting to me. There are quite a few things that I really liked about this book. First was the no muss, no fuss approach. The author gets directly to the point throughout the entire book. There's no fluff and filler to make the book longer than it needed to be. The information is well presented and I really appreciated that. The choices of serial killers in this book was good. While I am no real fan, collector or buff of this type of thing I did find a few individuals covered that I had never heard of.I also liked the fact that the information given about how each individual killer did in their victims was described but not embellished with gore. This book read well, didn't take a long time to read, kept my attention and I didn't feel like I wasted my time when it was over. I would definitely read another Robert Keller book again if given the chance.

serial killers
The chapter stories that interested me the most are: Dean Arnold Corll; Gary Leon Ridgway; Randy Steven Kraft; Ricardo Leyva Muñoz RamírezWarning: This book contains extremely graphic adult content, violence, or expletive language &/or uncensored sexually explicit material (LGBTQ, child verbal/mental/physical/sexual abuse, human sex slavery, prostitution, & trafficking) which is only suitable for mature readers. It may be offensive or have potential adverse psychological effects on the reader.I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review. Only an honest one.A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written true crime thriller book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great true crime thriller movie, PP presentation, or better yet a mini TV series or even a documentary (True Crime; American Crime Story). There are no references, works cited, or endnotes so I will only rate it at 4/5 stars.Thank you for the free author; eBookStage; Amazon Digital Services LLC.; bookTony Parsons MSW (Washburn)

Informative Yet Truly Graphic!!
For readers interested in true crime, especially in serial killers, this is one of the top ten of those types of books that I've found to be written in complete, great detail. The biography of each serial killer is well documented, with the history of their family roots and upbringing, and then finishing off with the investigations that ended their reigns of terror. It's mind-boggling the horrors they brought upon their victims. Personally, it's difficult to understand how these human beings could do such unthinkable acts to unsuspecting, innocent people. Although an interesting book, the pages within are filled with extremely graphic descriptions of torture and murder - not for the faint of heart!

Great insight into 12 sick monsters.
I've read a good few of Kellers books now and this one is again very informative and very interesting. If you find learning about some of the most depraved and sick human beings to walk the earth interesting then this is the book for you. It has left me wanting to look closer at some of the killers I hadn't taken much notice of previously such as Dennis Rader, Randy Kraft and Gary Ridgeway.

Over the top, not in the good way.
Nothing special and controversial. This book has many half-empty pages and the letters are too big. Overall experience is quite ok but I require a little more, then simple wikipedia reprint, from book that introduces vicious killers.

An interesting read
I find true crime interesting and although I have heard of most of these cases, some I had not read about in any detail. There is enough information about each of the killers to keep you interested without it being too in depth. You can always research further if a particular case sparks your interest. The author writes in an easy to understand and compelling tone which makes you want to keep reading. Not a bad book on this subject at all.

Nice as a ‘whistle stop tour’
Quick intro to each of the ten serial killers featured. I’d just finished reading Ann Rule’s book on Bundy (stranger beside me, also very good) so I knew that section pretty well. Best used as a starting point I think, then read more about the ones that interest you most.
