Good quality wax
This is good quality wax and at this size bag you’ll be making lots of nice container candles. It’s a bit more expensive than some others but I believe this brand is worth the little extra. It’s better to use soy rather paraffin wax where you can.PROS:- Soy wax is natural and sustainable, whereas paraffin wax is fossil fuel based- Soy wax will wash out of clothes, soft furnishings and the candle container with just soap and water, paraffin wax needs chemical treatment to remove.- Soy wax burns cleaner and almost soot freeCONS:- soy wax burns at a lower temperature so although great for container candles, it’s not suitable for pillar candles.- because of the lower burning temperature soy candles don’t give off as much scentLots of people seem unsure of the amount of wax to use for their container, here’s a quick way of working it out:- fill your container to the top with water, then tip the water into a measuring jug- round the amount to the nearest 10ml (so for example 86ml rounds up to 90ml)- multiply this amount by 0.77 (that’s what the calculator on your phone is for 😉), this gives you the amount in grams of soy wax to use leaving a bit of room at the top of the container.

Plenty.
My sister has recently become interested in candle making, and was currently searching amazon for kits and all the components she would need. The most important of those, is obviously the wax. She didn't know which particular type to choose, but when I got the chance to review a bag of soy wax it answered that conundrum for us. This 4kg bag is far bigger than we imagined it would be. The bag is enormous and there is certainly more than enough to keep my sister going for a while. The wax comes as small creamy coloured pellets ready to be melted down to create candle creations. once mixed with mica powder the colour can be changed and scents can be added. The possibilities are endless with this, and my sister can't wait to get started. This wax is high quality and exactly what she was searching for. If you are searching for a large quantity of wax, then this is the way to go. It is somewhat costly, but with the vast amount you receive you may not need to buy any more for a while, so it may work out cheaper in the long run.

Nice, smooth wax
I've made 2 ornamental candles in nicely shaped used bottles using this wax and mica powder and I think they look great. The smaller bottle had too narrow of a neck to fit the steel base thing for the wick, so that one can't be used as a candle but there is a wick in the larger bottle, even though I have no intension of using it that way, I want to keep them both as ornaments for my garden. It's taken me all afternoon to create this look as I had to wait for each layer to cool; I soon found that out on the first couple of rows when the colours didn't stay separated as well as I'd have liked. I'm happy with the overall effect and think they look lovely and colourful on my garden table. The wax melts quickly and it is very easy to mix in the mica powder and it turns out nice and smooth and glossy. The wax takes a while to cool, though, I had expected it to be quicker, so I had to wait a while between layers. I've not made much of a dent in this big bag of pellets, there's load left over for many other projects in the future. I've never done this before but I'm impressed at how easy, if time consuming, it is to create something very pretty. The initial outlay isn't cheap but this wax will last a long time and make loads of candles.

Well, Christmas is coming...
Well, Christmas is coming and I'm exactly the sort of person who thinks they know all the people in their life and then, it comes to Christmas, and my mind goes blank. The easiest option, and usually a fairly pricey one, is candles. Everyone likes candles. None of us is immune to the power going out and it's always good to have a candle handy. I'm also the sort of person who thinks that sometimes, a handmade gift is more special. Sometimes, it's the cheaper option, of course, but I plan to make candles for Christmas presents. And I've got the right stuff now. Which is why you're reading this. This is a massive pack - I don't know what I was picturing in my head as 4kg but I didn't realise there'd be this much - of soy wax pellets. A quick internet search will tell you that soy wax burns more cleanly than other materials and carries scent pretty readily. The pellets are small and therefore easy to melt and use. And, for the money, I think I've got a fair few Christmas presents ready to be melted. An excellent product.Recommended.
