We recently moved and left behind our fireproof safe. I was looking for something small to replace that for important documents and came upon this item. I like the durability and quality. I like that it can be locked and that it is fireproof. It is large enough to hold file folders. I have all of our important documents in this box. I think it is an affordable replacement yet sturdy enough to get the job done.

This file box is perfect. This is my third one. (one for me, one for my Mom and one for organizing my 101 yr old mother n law). They are perfect for organizing, great quality, light weight, but not cheaply made. Being fireproof is a plus. If you travel back and forth they would be perfect to transport your important documents, easily.

I purchased this fireproof box with the hope that it will offer protection if the unthinkable ever happens. I recently prepared my NOK (Next of Kin) documents to help set my family up for success and reduce stress in the future, and this box was the perfect place to store them. The assembly was simple, and it holds a good amount of documents and small valuables. It’s fully packed now, yet still light enough to move around. The built-in handles make it easy to grab and go, which is a thoughtful feature. It is lockable, and while the lock isn’t high security, it adds an extra layer of peace of mind. The quality feels solid, especially for the price, which I felt was very reasonable. I gave it 4 stars only because I can’t personally speak to how it will perform in an actual fire — and hopefully, I’ll never have to find out. That said, it meets my needs, feels reliable, and gives me a little more peace of mind knowing my important documents are in one place.

Exactly what I wanted. Files fit nicely, lock works well and I've finally gone through my tall old file cabinet and purged unwanted or needed and all fits nicely in this file holder with room to spare. Nice that it has sturdy carry handles so you can bring out of its stored area when filing. The zip areas are good to store small fixtures used with things with warranties.

While I have a total of 9 of these file boxes, over time, I am pleased overall. However, I am disappointed with one received. The lock does not work properly and cannot be set or reset. The seller asked to contact them 1st and I did. They sent me instructions which are the same as what came with the order. I explained that to them that I followed the instructions and it still did not work. The seller responded and they are going to replace the defective case. They apologized and said they work hard to support customer satisfaction. In this case they did. I am pleased with their effort and will buy from them again. I will say this for the cases; they are good solid cases and are tough to open once locked and I am pleased with how they work. There is a lot more storage room than you think and they have worked for my needs entirely. Thank You so much to the Vendor and Amazon for working this out.

JUST ARRIVED... they were larger than i thought but thats fantastic. I transferred some files already. N the file box still has plenty of room. N not heavy. My Plastic file boxes were smaller n much heavier. I have lots of room in these. I bought 2 the same color ...I REALLY REALLY WISH i bought DIFFERENT colors. One could be for house information and the other for medical information. Now i have to mark which is which. Also wish they were fire retardant. Didnt think of that until they came.

I like this box--I'm pleased with the green color, the ability to use hanging file folders and the zippered mesh pouch inside the lid. It comes with a lock, but I don't use that feature, and my box did not have an odor to it. I use this box to transfer items between my home and shop office depending on where I'm working that day. It works great for that purpose since I can easily put it on the car seat. The only disappointment I have is that although it has long carry straps, it does not have handles on the sides. The carry straps do not have a velcro fastener to secure them together, so when you put the box down they drop to the floor meaning you have to bend all the way down to the floor to grab the carry straps when you want to pick the box back up. It would be easier if the straps were held together on top of the box so you have less bending. It would also be easier if there were handles on the sides of the box so you could pick it up and hold it close to your body/against your torso while you carry it. It's big enough that it's awkward for me to carry since my arms do not go all the way around it and there is no where to hold onto it. The only way I can carry it is hanging from the straps, but if it's full that's too much weight for me to be hanging off my arm and I don't want to get hurt. For that reason I would not purchase this box again, but if the design was improved to include handles I would buy another one because I like everything else about it.

We are trying to go paperless but sometimes you still need some original documents. These have been great! No complaints yet. I like that they are the perfect size for legal or letter depending on orientation. That's a smart design.

Good storage box. Good for keeping all your important papers in one place. The house hasn't burned down, so Ill update my review and let everyone know how things held up if that happens. The hanging folders are extra, easily available on Amazon well.
