Good Investment for Crocheters with Wrist Pain
These are very nice hooks! I was searching for ergonomic hooks to help with pain crocheting (carpal tunnel and joint pain). After some research, saw this brand was recommended by a crocheter I follow for tutorials. Just to be sure (before I plunked down this kind of money hooks), I ordered a 10.5 to try out. Tulip Needle Company Tulip Etimo Rose Crochet Hook, 10.5/6.5mm , knowing that it wasn't included in this set so if I got this, it would extend it. I loved it! Pros: No pain when using these hooks (knife holder). Yarn glides easily, no issues with splitting. It goes through the yarn like butter but most importantly, I don't get wrist pain so can crochet much, much longer without getting tired or having to stop. The handle material is soft and pleasant to touch, and the pinks are very, very pretty. The case is well made and pretty as well. It feels solid and I expect both the case the the hooks to last many years. Cons: The "neck" part of the needle is not overly long, which could be an issue depending on what kind of work you're doing. The sizes are very easy to read, but are on a sticker instead of stamped into the hook. The stickers don't seem like they're about to come off, but it would have been nicer to have the sizes embedded. I would have liked the case to accommodate an extra hook or two to add my previous purchase, although I usually have one out with my current work in progress. It was also challenging for me to spend this much money on hooks - I had to consider it an investment in my health because of pain issue to justify it. I cannot compare it to Clover Armour because I don't have any. I wanted to get one set of awesome hooks instead of several sets of good ones trying to find the right fit. I am pleased with this choice and gave a similar set to my daughter for her crochet. If you're not sure or have never used these, I'd suggest buying a single hook first to see if you like it. I'm glad I took that approach, so I knew what I was getting. Hope that helps! :-)

Beautiful set of crochet hooks--a great gift for yourself or a friend!
These crochet hooks are very, very nice--a very special treat. The cushion on these hooks is of a different material than that on the other colorful brand currently on the market. This Tulip material is very smooth and comforting to my arthritic hands, but not large enough to be cumbersome. The soft cushion on the other brand feels gritty somehow to me, but the Tulip's cushion is smooth and clean-feeling. I love the varying shades of pink--they are so girly! In this set, there is included a nice zippered folding wallet (also pink) with the pink elastic loops inside for holding each hook, as you can see in the photo. Also included is a little sewn-in zipper pocket which holds a small pair of scissors and a yarn needle--very convenient. What is really different in this set is that there are some sizes I have not seen before in our normal craft store market--like size 4.50 which I believe is in between a regular American size G and a size H. This will be really nice when searching for just the right size for use with a particular yarn. All in all, I recommend that you treat yourself to this set--you will not regret it. Yes, they are a little expensive, but just think of how many hours you will spend holding these--if not actually using them, then just admiring them! Shipping was a little slow on this one as my set came from an outside Amazon seller and was not shipped by Amazon itself, but it did finally arrive safely--or maybe I was in too much of a hurry for them to arrive! (Tracking did not work for some reason) Anyway--Love!

You get what you pay for
I have been trying to convince myself to purchase these for a long time. I wasn't ready to spend so much on a set of hooks. But I am a supporter of, "you get what you pay for". Before this, I would chase hooks as needed, per project, or if I came across one that looked interesting. I've been needing a wider hook for my hands, so that's been a factor. The hair that broke the camel's back was this vibration I was getting from the yarn rubbing over some ridges on top of the hook. I was working on a fairly large lapgan and I was becoming increasingly annoyed by it. This set has been hiding in my cart for years, and I finally thought, why not?! It was completely worth it! The material of the hooks glides through the yarn, like buttah. Seriously, I've had to readjust the tension cause it just slides so easily, but it has been a relief. I even picked up my pace because it is so smooth. The ridges are also on this hook, but not as pronounced. And the grip is in the correct place for my hands. Other hooks have grips that I usually end up with my fingers back on the metal part, completely missing the grips, due to the way I hold it. So, you get what you pay for, and in this situation, I paid for a quality product that has allowed me to improve my skills and looking forward to getting started on my projects, more than usual

Best Hooks that I Own
I should clarify first by saying that the only other hooks I've owned have been by Susan Bates and Boyle. I got these hooks because I saw so many people raving about them, especially those who have carpal tunnel. I have carpal tunnel in one of my hands, crocheting with the Boyle/Bates hooks makes my hands hurt/really tired after a while and I usually have to wear my splint. With these hooks, they crochet like a dream. I can crochet with these hooks without my splint for a while longer (I don't recommend this though if you have carpal tunnel, please wear your splint). Even when I wear the splint and crochet, I am still able to crochet at a decent pace! My hand still bother me, but significantly way less than if I use cheaper hooks. What makes these hooks mainly different is the shape of the actual hook-part, it has more of a slant then a curve and it securely grabs the yarn, and it makes you move faster. It does still snag or split the yarn sometimes, but definitely not as much as cheaper hooks. These hooks are worth the investment, especially if you have carpal tunnel. We're definitely paying a little more for the color pink, but these are so cute! I'm crocheting in style.

Fantastic hooks!
I am a fairly beginner-crocheter so I started out with an inexpensive set, wasn’t doing well with them so tried an in-line head style, which I liked but noticed my hands and arms were getting fatigued when crocheting for a while. After reading some reviews I decided to splurge and order these and I am so glad I did. They work like a dream, the metal is just amazingly silky smooth it just passes through the yarn like a hot knife through butter. The handles are VERY comfortable, it is like holding a little cloud, I don’t even feel the handle in my hand. They are expensive compared to the cheap ones that are probably fine for many people, but these are a game changer for me, hiking the enjoyment factor way up. If you have it in your budget, I would recommend without hesitation. PS. you also get this cute case which zips nicely, does not feel cheap at all, and cute little scissors and 2 needles.

A pleasure to work with
My absolute favorite hooks. Smoothest I have ever tried. They are beautiful and come with high quality scissors and yarn needles. Highly recommend.

Wonderful set - worth the price
These crochet hooks caught my attention because they were pink, and in a nice case. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hooks. Yarn glides over them very well, and they fit just right in my hand. I don't use other crochet hooks anymore, and got these as a gift for someone who treasures them as much as I do. Included is a pair of sharp scissors with a protective sleeve and two yarn needles in a case. I take this with me where ever I go in case I need some yarn therapy.

Crochet Hooks - YES! Packaging... No
Ok. First thing - the crochet hooks themselves - 5 Stars PLUS! However... I couldn't give this review 5 stars because the packaging was horrendous. And the hooks were dirty. So, do not buy from this seller if you are going to get these as a gift. The box was damaged, squished on the bottom, and the circle sticker that seals the box - dirty - covered in hair. I took photos as good as I could, however, I don't think it shows quite how dirty they were. Also, if you look at the photo with the close up of the hooks you can see black scuff marks across the top of every single one of the hooks. I cleaned them up with 99% rubbing alcohol and it came off - but... again, if I had been giving this to someone as a gift I would have been embarrassed by it. Thankfully they were only for me so I didn't have to go through the process of returning them, etc. This seller has the lowest price for these amazing hooks - which is why I noticed them - but the quality of packaging/shipping - and these say they were new, but I am sure mine were used based on the marks on the hooks, the hair covered sticker, etc. Enough of that. THE HOOKS. YES. YES. YES. And yeah, I am going to say it again. YES!!!!!! I do not know how or why these hooks can look pretty much identical to plenty of other ergonomic hooks out there, or hooks with rubberized handles, etc - but work COMPLETELY different. Crochet hooks baffle me in that respect. I am sure there are real reasons, but I am not an engineer, so I will never really spend the time to know why. However, if you can afford these hooks - GET THEM. Now! They seriously make the straightest stitches, and everything is so much easier to just keep uniform. I didn't think I was going to buy into the hype of these, figured I will just be able to say I bought the highest recommended hooks and I still prefer my Clover Armour hooks, etc. However, as much as I love my amazing size L hook from Clover... these Tulip Etimo hooks are just downright all they are cracked up to be. The ONE thing I did notice, as I had only primarily used Clover hooks before is that the shaft is shorter on these. Which, honestly, has helped my crochet skills, big time. So that part does make a different. It is likely that it is only 1 or 2mm shorter, but I did notice it and it took a slight adjustment to get used to. Also, the "Tulip" brand name is imprinted in raised letters on the back side of the handle, I thought it would bug me, but after I started crocheting - I really didn't notice it. I am very happy that I was able to afford these hooks, I did also buy the 6.5mm hook (this set stops at 6mm) to add to this, as well as the Etimo lace crochet hooks (I haven't gotten them yet, they are in transit) AND the Tulip Etimo Grandhook(s) to complete the set. They do have the previous version of Etimo hooks on Amazon as well - they are the ones with the black handles and the hook is gold. They aren't as pretty to look at (in my opinion), however, they are very affordable and would work the same as these - so I highly recommend getting into Tulip hooks if you can afford them. Even just buy your favorite size/most used size in a singular hook - your crochet projects will notice the difference immediately! Oh and if you do amigurumi, these hooks - A MUST! The lace crochet hooks would also be a must (blue handles, silver hooks) if you want to do tiny stitches. So, hooks are awesome - only reason for the 4 star review is the packaging. I really want to give the packaging a 1 star review - but I want people to know these hooks are great as well!

I love these hooks.
Tulip hooks are are as smooth as butter to use. The pink ones are identical to the grey and gold ones, so if you don't care about the colour, I'd get those instead as they're cheaper. But the pink ones are the prettiest.

Love, love, love
These are my favourite hooks, I was worried about spending so much money and I really wasn’t sure I’d notice a difference, but, they are comfortable to use and glide threw the yarn with no catching
