Compré este libro por recomendación de una amiga y descubrimos una historia muy bonita y un mensaje precioso que compartir con los niños.Las ilustraciones son hermosas. La historia es muy sencilla de seguir, el lenguaje es básico para niños pequeños.Muy recomendado

I am a parent (of 5 yr old son and 3 yr old daughter) but although I am glad my kids like Sara Ogilive's books, I really get them because I myself love the illustrations. I discovered her through the Detective Dog, and then I followed up with The Worst Princess and Sir Lilypad (both very popular in our house), The Monster Zoo (another good one, especially liked by my son). And now Dave is on our top list too. (The only one which has never really captured them is Izzy Gizmo...). I really like the text also which flows nicely and doesn't tire even after many repeat readings. I like the fact that there's a message about being nice and kind to others, but there's also throwing of rotten veg, a pig and some funny people dancing...all of which my kids like. Highly recommended.

We were happy to add Dave the Lonely Monster to our Sir Lilypad and Worst Princess collection. The illustrations are wonderful, of course, and the ending is uplifting.

It was a wonderful book to read to the grand children
