Going on 4 months and it is still working great....no connection issues.

I needed this because my pc didn't have a ethernet port. This connected my pc to the ethernet immediately. Great!

The ethernet adapter did not work as a “plug and play“, when first plugged into the USB port on my IBM ThinkPad running windows 10. Only when I downloaded (download.com) and installed the latest drivers, did it work. It’s a great product, and works very well. But it should come packed with directions & the official URL, for downloading the latest drivers.

I finally ordered the right one, it took me three tries, kudos to Amazon customer service. Worked great right out of the box.🤔😉😊

A couple of things. My laptop wouldn't boot up with it plugged in. Like it was a bootable drive or something. Then, it started disconnecting for no reason. I examined it and found that there's no crimp or anything so where the tiny cable goes into the usb side, it just slides in and out. The last time I used it, was the last time. Doesn't work anymore. I'm sure the wires are probably broken on the inside of the usb side since there is nothing stable about it. I only got to use it a few times. If they were 10 for 10 bucks, I might buy all 10 if I was in the need for a disposable adapter.

I was cautious about buying this adapter due to all the negative reviews regarding poor materials, faulty connectivity, and generally having a very short lifespan, but for the price and needing to get my laptop hardwired to the internet fairly quickly, I ordered it anyway. It arrived the next day. The packaging was flimsy and the plastic body didn't feel as sturdy as I would like, but the joints weren't loose and wires weren't showing as others had reported. I had to push my ethernet cord real hard into the end of the adapter so I could hear a click because there was no sign of hardwire connection until then. It is true that if you move the cord around alot you'll lose connection, but if you keep it still it works continually. I haven't seen any red light indicator to show it's connected to the internet, but I just look at the indicator on my computer. This was a good purchase for a quick hot second emergency use, but definitely buying a higher quality more expensive adapter for the long haul.

I specialize in tech reviews. For gaming, a wired Ethernet connection will almost always be superior to even the highest speed WIFI. However, many of today’s light and sleek laptops have given up the so called old-fashioned Ethernet port. A simple adapter like this one from Mobi Lock is the perfect answer. I compared several brands when ordering this one. It’s working flawlessly and is the ideal choice at a great price.
