First, read the instructions!This gadget works very well, but you must follow the directions!Briefly:Open the wine bottleInsert gadget into the bottle firmly, it should not be loose or wiggly.Pour the bottle at a 45° angle, bottom end up, into a wine glass.If your are nervous about the gadget falling out, hold it with a couple fingers.Do not block any of the small holes!When it is working, you will hear a sort of sucking sound as air is drawn in and mixed into the wine.In the glass, the wine will have lots of bubbles on the surface - it almost looks carbonated.The bubbles will go way and your wine will taste much better than straight from the bottle.Note: This is for RED wines only! Other wines do not need aeration.

Easy to use and clean. Was dripping on first use, but that was used error - make sure you push it in the bottle fully enough to get the seal!

Provides very little aeration bubbles wen pouring sweet sherry wines like Pedro Ximenez. Probably because this type of wine is dense, but other aerators work well.
