BlueMax 42 Watt Full Spectrum Replacement Bulb

Yes this light bulb is a life saver to my husband. He works with Models and it helps him see tiny obeject with in the model to be painted.

This works very well. I had my eyes "done" - lens replacement (or Perma Clear) as it is also called, and when I got that done, I couldn't read anything up close without sunlight or a very bright light. This light as been my savior for reading again. I just hope it lasts longer than the one that came in the original lamp, as they are not cheap. I would recommend the light for people in the same situation.

This light worked well for about two months. Then it just dimmed out. It is so dim it is useless. I am disgusted because of the cost $34. It worked well up until time passed and it was not refundable.

Bulb worked very well until it's very early death. Less than 2 years!!! Did not expect it to die before all the generic $5.00 bulbs I have used for 10 years.

Delivered promptly and well packaged. Excellent light spectrum for reading, needle-point or other crafts that benefit form "natural" light with the advantage that it can be brightened or dimmed as preferred. Spendy, but worth it.

Had an UltraLUX floor lamp that I've used for years with the original bulb. This one fit the size and other specs I found on my burnt out bulb. Pricey, but it will really last for years to come, so it's worth it to me!

Bought a new bulb when the last one burnt out (lasted only a few years)... only to have the replacement bulb not work either. Is it the bulb or the lamp?? I contacted BlueMax and they sent me another bulb... but that one didn't work either. So it appears to be the lamp that's faulty. Considering how much you have to pay for one of these lamps I'm pretty disappointed at the shoddy workmanship.I should also add that when I first purchased the lamp, the clips on the shade that hold the bulb in place were so off kilter that it made it impossible to even plug the bulb into the socket; so I had to return the entire lamp for a new one. Nothing but problems... stay away!!
