LP Cajon Saddle LP-CJS

Perfect fit and comfortable. Nice pocket placement and I like the velcro side to attach castanets, etc rather than attaching them to my cajon. I didn't sense much sound dampening though my LP has a denser box anyway. I'll be buying another for my back- up as well!

This is a very comfortable seat and provides nice storage for brushes and other accessories. It is permanently attached to my cajon.

I've frequently been playing the cajon at church at our "satellite" campus which, for now, is the auditorium of a nearby high school -- so, everything related to service, including instruments has to be loaded in and out each week. For this reason, I have been trying to figure out ways to optimize my gear for transportation and setup, while keeping my various toys organized and within reach. This LP cajon saddle seemed to be exactly what the doctor ordered – and, for the most part, it is.What I like:1. The saddle is easy to install. There are two straps that route beneath the cajon, thru buckles on the other side, then back toward you. You pull them snug, then secure by fastening the integrated hook-and-loop fabric.2. One installed, the saddle does not slide around. Furthermore, there's not much added bulk so, if you carry your cajon in a bag/case, it should still fit nicely with the saddle installed.3. The onboard storage for sticks is VERY helpful -- it's nice to have a pair cajon brushes within close reach. While I definitely agree the provided pocket could be larger, it does not bother me. My soft shaker fits nicely in there. I'm can't to close the flap but, honestly, I don't want to mess with the hook-and-loop closure while I'm playing. I just tuck the flap down the back-side of the pocket and use it like a holster.IMHO, the only thing that needs to be improved on this saddle is the seat itself. It's super squishy and provides little, if any, support. (For reference, I am not a big guy -- 5' 8" and 160 pounds.) For the price, I am a little surprised LP didn't make that padding a bit firmer. But(t), this is easily remedied. As you can see in the photos, I doubled-up the padding with MEINL's "Deluxe Cajon Seat." This works well. LP makes a similar deluxe cushion. (These Meinl and LP deluxe pads are $19.99 here on Amazon).So, all things considered, there’s a lot more here to like than not. I recommend this item!

This fits our cajon exactly, and this does not mess with the sound at all. Love the protection it gives the cajon as well.

This is a very nice accessory for my lp string cajon. It is the perfect seat/ pad because its fixed to the cajon. It was very helpful for those long nights for sitting on it for hours on end.

I think this is just about worth the money, but it's not perfect. The stick bag is great, makes switching between hand and brush accessible, and the velcro makes it easy to move things around (I swapped the left and right sides on mine) and experiment with accessory placement for things like castanets. It's just small enough, too, to leave room for striking the sides of the cajon which is an effect I like using from time to time. The big downside, aside from the high price, is how small the aux bag is - I can fit a single egg shaker and a finger shaker, but nothing else - not claves, not a full-size shaker, etc. I can fit a foot tambourine, but that's less than ideal as then it rattles when striking the cajon which isn't ideal either.
