Aerospace Strength Handbook - Volume II Great Text
Aerospace Strength Handbook - Volume II by Todd Coburn is well thought and well-constructed handbook on structural analysis. It is very easy to follow along and understand where the author derives and gathers equations and makes it simple for readers to understand the necessary equations, tables, and figures to grasp each concept. The book is detailed where it needs to be and very easy to follow, the step-by-step approach for solving different types of structural loading scenarios is insightful and effective. My only hopeful addition to this book would be the inclusion of more example problems or step-by-step approaches with real numbers, but these types of examples can be easily accessed through Dr. Coburns YouTube channel. Not only is this text helpful for those studying engineering, but I would feel exceptionally helpful for those in the industry. I can see this book being used by others for years for structural analysis.

The Structural Mechanics Book | Great supplemental videos!
Aerospace Strength Handbook - Volume II is a thoroughly thought out and developed piece for individuals to further their built-upon foundation from Volume I or as a quick reminder and reference for those in the industry. What makes Volumes I and Volume II unique compared to other Structural Mechanics textbooks are the free chronological videos Dr. Coburn provides to accompany each chapter on his Youtube channel (Todd Coburn). These videos can efficiently serve as an introduction or refresher on the topic as Dr. Coburn walks you through the workflow on each topic. While some of the chapters may lack examples, the videos generally have a few for you to wrap your mind around and work on to verify and establish your understanding of the topic. Most of the chapters' sections end with step-by-step instructions on the workflow referencing the equations, tables, and variables. On more than a few accounts, this book helped me become familiar with a given topic before my Structural Mechanics class and reinforced my understanding after the fact. Access to the videos while working on my assignments has been a gift, clearing up any uncertainties. I highly recommend watching the lecture and annotating your workbook, as the analogies and tips from Dr. Coburn can genuinely create that lightbulb moment.

Practical Resource for Aerospace Engineers
This book is the second volume of a two part set addressing the essentials of aircraft structural analysis. The content of Volume I corresponds with the content of the first class in structural mechanics covered in most undergraduate aerospace, mechanical, & civil engineering curriculums. However, it lays a stronger foundation for aerospace structural analysis, and for practical applied methods, than many of competitor's books provide. The content of Volume II builds on the essentials from volume I, and provides practical and efficient analysis strategies for more advanced topics that are also encountered daily by stress & structures professionals in the field.Together, these two volumes provide methods and insights that can be used daily by professionals in the field of structural mechanics. This means that a professional engineer in the field of structural analysis will use some of the methods covered daily in the performance of their job, they will utilize others of the methods covered often, and they will encounter most of the content at one time or another in the course of their career. This book is still being refined, so expect to see continuous updates over the coming years as the author strives to make this set as practical and useful as possible.Enjoy.

A Straight to the Point Book
This is honestly a great book for understanding solid mechanics. The book really get's straight to the point and teaches you what you need to know. My one qualm with this book is it is designed specifically for the class of this professor and that alone. I would HIGHLY recommend those who wish to learn from this book who do not have the author as their professor, search for the author's youtube channel, and use his lectures labeled 3271 as supplementary instruction. Other than that, the book give's good insight on what is needed for industry and is not difficult to wrap your head around at all compared to other class textbooks.

A well organized handbook that contains pertinent and practical information.
As a student of engineering this handbook is priceless as a tool to take your first strong steps into a career of aerospace engineering. The text is well organized, easy to follow, and written by an author who has built a career, not only in the theoretical aspects of structural engineering, but also in testing them in the field. The selling point of the book is that just about everything in it can be used, not only by a newly hired engineer, but continuously throughout one's career. Being the son of an aerospace engineer concerned with structural analysis I can attest that the claim is not without merit.

Excellent structural analysis tool!
This handbook is a convenient compilation of many strength and structural analysis resources. Many include textbooks from Beer & Johnson, Bruhn, and Hibbeler. The concepts are laid out in such a way that they are very easy to understand. If a lecture is desired on the material, Dr. Todd Coburn also has many lecture videos on Youtube for further elaboration. Dr. Coburn likes to create convenient table templates for use in excel, making problem solving that much simpler. This text is constantly under revision due to student feedback. If you look hard enough, sometimes you can find type errors but they don't really affect the main idea. My only request is that this book came with a pdf copy for convenient use since I would be able to put a copy on my ipad, allowing me to do my homework anywhere. I also think that a page marking for each section would be good, such as those in encyclopedias and dictionaries that mark each letter.
