Works as expected!
I was concerned if this would work reliably or not. So far it has worked absolutely great. I don't think it will support 4k once I upgrade my TV, so I'll have to probably revisit this then. I also found that the units have an internal set of connectors for power, so they can be powered via wiring in the wall as opposed to having the external adapter - if you are so inclined. The unit also passed through the power from the external jack to the internal connectors - so, conceivably you could power one end of the unit with the external wall adapter then pass that power through to the other unit over an additional wall wiring.

HDMI part works, but the IR to device doesn't work in all 4 of them that I bought.
As an HDMI extender, they work great. Unfortunately, the IR extender for controlling the end device will not work. Prior to being taken out by a lightning storm, our existing HDMI extenders worked well and the IR extender also worked.
