Excellent source for authentic taco and salsa recipes. So far I have tried quite a few and I'm yet to find one I haven't thoroughly enjoyed. Being authentic I did find a couple of ingredients hard to source in my town, but these can be found online. Also some of the recipes can be costly but that's not the books fault. Any one who eats out on a regular basis would be happy to pay the cost of ingredients I just found that being on low income they were hard to justify, I guess I just though street food would be cheap to make.

As soon as this book arrived I sat down and opened it and did not put it down until I had read every word. This is not only a cookbook but a magic carpet ride through wonderful Mexico. We have travelled extensively throughout Mexico on buses, trains, motorcycles and cars and got to know the people well and I am sure they would approve of the author's take on regional cuisine and history. I especially enjoyed the stories about the chefs and restaurants and taco stands and the pride they take in their offerings. I have made a few of the recipes and all have been very well received. This is a book that I will refer to often and when I serve a meal I will have anecdotes to share about the recipe, it's origin and history.
