DFAM Semi-Modular Analog Percussion Synthesizer with 8 Step Sequencer, 24-Point Patch Bay

Normally, at $600, this synth was personally just a little out of my reach. When it dropped to $439 just recently, I did not hesitate. Finally having this synth has been a dream come true. At one point, I wanted this to be my first synth, but I wasn’t able to get it. I got an incredible deal on a used Korg MS-20, and allowed me to finally scratch that hardware analog synth itch I was craving, and it’s been an incredible first synth, especially since it’s semi-modular and it has a keyboard, so I could actually practice performance with it. But I knew I wanted this one next. I wanted that Moog sound, and I was obsessed with the polyrhythm subharmonics concept, just because of the results I saw it produce in reviews and demos. People didn’t lie that it was an inspiration machine! It’s definitely got a sound, it’s not a sound design masterpiece and it’s not very flexible, but I knew that going in, I wanted it for exactly what it did. It’s awesome, and it can sound massive with the right FX. Legit a dream come true, you gotta get this if you love the demos of it as much as I did. Getting to know and use the Subharmonicon is going to be a lifetime of music making fun!

It’s great, though use care when installing the instruments as it’s easy to inadvertently unbalance the stand. Not that it would tip, just that it rocks in place if you don’t align things evenly. It’s a challenge to install the synths without scratching their sides. Slow and steady! The little summing mixer is great, only one single power outlet needed to power three synths. The included dust cover is well done and can be connected to the frame of the rack on each side. I’d definitely buy it again if I had another three synths that needed a stand.

Llego a tiempo para la navidad. La gente no tiene ni la menor idea de lo que es esta máquina. Súper contento con esta compra.

Finally got my hands on a DFAM, the sounds you can create are just so unique and analog rich, the versatility is unlimited. although I do recommend googling and buying a MAFD by sonoclast so you can hook up midi controller and record in DAW with ease. definitely not a cheap piece of gear but the quality you get with MOOG is unbeatable. Also big up to the seller Austin Bazaar! great service

Little costly but otherwise a necessary addition to my studio. Saves space and organizes power and output connections.

I'm happy that they are releasing more synths. It's disappointing they are no longer assembled in the USA but 600 bucks for a filter bank/ vocoder thing is a ton of money for a module w a voice...so I'm sure if they made it here who knows what they would have to charge I guess...idk. I really hope the Labyrinth synth comes out quickly.....I like weird things but I can understand this may not be for everyone. Simply it's good for somebody that has a ton of other things like me, but I would not want this to be my only instrument. It would be awful.

This is an unique piece of kit. If you are a sound designer / groovester, this is as must have. Its not a synth, not a drum box... but at the same time , it is both. Watch youtube vids of the sound, and you'll b see why. This is one purchase I'll never regret, not get rid of. More manufacturers should stop trying to recreate old things, and do it all workstations, and let us hand things like the DFAM.

Very inspiring! I never heard any synth do what this thing does. Time flies tweaking those knobs.

No sé si el artículo era usado, la caja estaba maltratada, los instructivos, cables y demás no venían en bolsa, solo regados en la caja hasta ahorita al parecer ha funcionado bien pero para algo que no costó 10 pesos deberían de tomarse la molestia en enviar todo en buen estado.

「labyrinth」 ランダムシーケンサーとか、西海岸スタイルとか怪しいキーワードが並びますが、思ったよりずっと素直なマシンです。 とりあえず、適当にいじればそれっぽいリズムを吐き出してくれます。 ランダム挙動も、最小にすれば挙動は安定します。 シーケンサーのレングスも好きに設定できるので、奇数拍子やポリリズムにも対応します。 シーケンサーの吐くCVが自由にいじれないですが、リズム用途で使う分には気にならないです。 音階を出力したいときは、4音のスケールにクオンタイズしておけばそれっぽい雰囲気を作ってくれます。 ただ、この機材が本領を発揮するのは他の機材と相互作用させるときでしょう。 シーケンサーの信号は好きに取り出せるので、そのランダム性で他機材の挙動を怪しくできます。 クロック入力も２つ入れられるので、labyrinth自身の挙動もさらに怪しく出来ます。 後、特筆すべきはサイン波オシレータの出音。 歪みやモジュレーションを外して素の音を聞いてみると、まろやかで思ったより太く感じました。 ベースを鳴らすのにオススメです。 繰り返しになりますが、単体でも成立しているマシンなので、入門にもオススメです。 ブランド品なので値段は可愛くないですが。

Les câbles en plus sont les bienvenus, le rack est solide mais l’ensemble est vraiment hors de prix. « Le mixeur » est de très mauvaise qualité.

Pure Moog Chaos. Beautiful machine

He comprat diversos instruments: Behringer TD-3-MO, un parell de mòduls Eurorack també de Behringer (sempre en perfectes condicions) i ara aquest Moog Labyrinth i, tot i que funciona correctament, no pot ser que lliurin en aquestes condicions, com es pot observar a les imatges. Puntualitzar que l'embalatge exterior, una caixa d'Amazon, estava en bones condicions (cap responsabilitat del transportista) però en obrir la caixa de l'enviament i veure en les condicions en què es trobava la caixa de l'instrument, literalment aixafada, no em va fer bona sensació. Que dir de la caixa de l'instrument que està prou ben dissenyada, com que per a aquesta destrossa no hagi fet malbé l'instrument. A més que pel tipus de producte que Amazon considera d'alt valor no es pot dipositar a un Amazon locker. Però simplement cal anar amb compte i/o advertir de les condicions del producte. Ara parlant de l'instrument... no hi ha res més a dir Moog! Completament satisfet. 5 estrelles per a linstrument. Un 0 a les condicions del producte emmagatzemat. Salutacions.
