One of a kind solution for dealing with messy wax
I've used this system long enough to confidently say this: PROS Lightweight UV & Heat resistant See thru (Opaque) Decent amount but not too much traction Easy to reposition yourself on the deck Hard to damage Easy enough to install Looks awesome Great customer service Thanks Xavier! CONS Expensive for what you get Takes 2 1/2 - 3 kits for a 9'3 & 9'6" longboard without a tail (stomp) pad Must mist the deck and squeegee diligently during installation Must start with a super clean deck.

Worked surprisingly well
I put on the clear hexatraction on my new longboard along with the cork hexatraction for the mid board and for the tail. The combination of cork and hexatraction is nice and work surprisingly well up to about 6-foot waves and keeping control for bottom turns. I was in some 4-6 foot waves and it worked fine (had no problems staying on the board). I will say that the combination between the hexatraction and cork works well on multiple dimensions: good stick on the board in turns, but also gives a good visual reference for where to plant your feet when you pop-up (between the cork and hexatraction). I've been on it a few times now and haven't slipped once yet. I highly recommend them!!!

Awesome Product
I bought three packs which was enough to cover my 5'10" Pyzalien and 8'6" longboard. Application was fairly easy but the instruction video shows an awkward technique of peeling half of the backing back first, lining up with the spacer, pressing down the exposed half, and then peeling off the rest of the backing to apply the rest of the pad. Things went a lot quicker and easier when I just pulled off the whole backing at once, lined the corner into the spacing tool, and then laid down the pad. As the video says, use plenty of water. The more water I used, the easier it was to smooth out all of the bubbles. One pack can be laid down in 15-30 minutes fairly easily. I went out for the first time yesterday on my longboard without a rash guard to test the claim that this was easy on the skin. Unfortunately, it is a bit more abrasive than wax and I rashed up my stomach. Paddling was a little less grippy on my chest and stomach than wax and so I had to be careful not to slide around on the board. This probably won't be an issue in a wet suit but it's good to mention so people know what to expect. It's still grippy enough and I was able to catch waves fairly easily. Once on my feet, it works perfectly. No slipping and everything felt even. I went out this morning to try out my 5'10" but wore a rash guard this time. Catching waves was easy and I didn't slip at all once I was on my feet. I like to put artwork on my boards and I love that this doesn't cover it all up like wax does. I also love the idea of never having to worry about wax melting and gunking up my car and all of my water gear. I give it four stars out of 5 because it is more irritating to the skin than advertised and I have to be more conscious of slipping while paddling than I would with wax. The positives far outweigh the negatives though. A vest, suit, or rash guard pretty much solves those problems. Good product. I'll put this on all of my boards for now on.

I Will Never Go Back to Wax Again
Avid shortboarder for 30+ years living directly in front of my break all that time. I was pretty skeptic buying this but I thought that after many generations of nothing but wax that there has to be something better. This is it! First & second wave I totally thought about my front foot placement and how it stuck but on my 3rd and every wave after that I had no though about it as I came off the lip 3 and more times per wave. I did catch a good backside little barrel while grabbing my rail and pulling my board tight to my feet and I remember my front foot feeling good a secure. I will never go back to wax again. Btw- there were plenty more stickers leftover after completing my 5'10"x20.5" wide board with back-track top already in place. I will finish with this... expensive!!! I bet they'd have a way better ROI if they brought the price way, way down. There's really not much to this simple product and they could have China doing this for them at 5 bucks a pack even after shipping and all other expenses.
