Wonderful Knife!
I rated it 3 stars because it isn't light weight, and neither would I want it to be. This knife is simply amazing. It fits in my hand perfectly, I love the curve of the blade, and I truly think it will become one of my most favorite knives. I have been excited to get this one and it was a great price. Buy it! YOU will not regret it.

Great knife to add to my Pro collection
As with all of my Pro knives, this knife just feels great in your hand. Great craftsmanship with a super sharp edge. Having good tools makes easy prep work in the kitchen. Im looking forward to adding more to my set!

This is turning out to be one of the best knives I own.I use it regularly as a prep cookLike all ZWILLING it is shipped razor-sharp.It will hold its blade If you take care of it.be very careful you could lose a finger if you’re not careful.Yes, there that sharp!

Good knife for the right technique.
I did not like this knife, It only really works well if you use the 'rock and chop' method which I don't. I use the locomotive style technique which this knife does not do well as only a very small part of the blade is flat on the board when cutting in this way. I did however give it a good review because it is well made just like all Pro series knives, and I gave it to my brother and he loves it. My point is you should be aware of how you plan to use this knife before buying.

To “Hollow Edge” or Not to “Hollow Edge”, That is the Question
This larger Santoku is replacing my 5 1/4” Professional “S” hollow edge Santoku that I have been using for the past 13 years. I bought this version because Zwilling had a great sale going on. This new knife is larger but still retains the finer 10° Japanese angle edge compared to the 15° European angle on my 8” Pro Chef. This translates to more precise and thinner slices of meat and veggies. I haven’t been able to use it too much yet, but I was able to prep potatoes with ease. The downside to this version of the rocking Santoku is that it does not have the granton edge I have become so accustomed to. The slices of potatoe definitely stick to the blade more on this version compared my previous hollow edge. Overall, it’s a great value for the money given the sale. However, if both versions had been on sale, I would have gone with the hollow edge version.

Top quality knife made in Germany
To qualify this review, I own a complete set of Zwilling knives which I bought in Germany 30 years ago and a full set of Pampered Chef kitchen knives. This is the most beautiful, sharpest and most versatile knife I own. I was expecting quality, but at this price I wasn’t sure it would be as good as the knives I already own, but when I opened the box I was more than impressed.

SHARP SHARP SHARP!!
Absolutely love this knife. RAZOR sharp, very well balanced, and comfortable in the hand. I've used it to chop vegetables easily and it's quickly becoming my "everything" knife. Be warned this knife could cut carpet like a razor blade. It's VERY VERY sharp.

Very Sharp
This is the first time I have owned a quality kitchen knife and I have nicked myself, requiring a bandage, twice in the first 10 days of use. Not for butterfingers!

J’ai acheté ce couteau à mon épouse car nous avions déjà un bloc de couteau zwelling mais il lui manquait le santoku. Elle en est entièrement satisfaite

Good and nice to handle
The knife is sharp and is easy to handle. Cuts well and the grip is good for cutting and slicing. I am glad that I invested in this knife. Although it is expensive but is definitely worth the money.
