The Sacred Sphere: Exploring Sacred Concepts and Cosmic Consciousness Through Universal Symbolism

I truly enjoyed this book. While I had to find quiet space to actually read it, it opened me up to some interesting concepts. Alot of the read is science oriented, I felt like this book made sense to me, and answered many questions I've had over the years. I recommend it to anyone who has yearned for some insight to those questions of connectedness, yet caution you that it's not an easy read, and left me contemplating even more!! Still...so glad I read it.

This book was wonderful! When I had to pick a book for my graduation thesis I knew it was going to be a task, then I found this book and decided to jump in. It wasn't too hard to understand, that's what Paul Burley does, he makes it so people can understand whether they have a high school diploma or their PHD. He is a wonderful writer and this book definitely got me through the remainder of my college career. I have written several papers off certain excerpts in this book. Plus, it is just fun and interesting to read even if you don't use it for school!

Since my purchase, this book has yet to find its way to my bookshelves - it sits at my elbow, for ease of reference!It is an impressive first book from an author I feel certain we will increasingly respect, wherever his next projects take him - wide-ranging, informative, thought provoking, comprehensive - it forms a well-researched bridge between science (his background) and spirituality (prompted by his personal discovery).He excavates levels of meaning which are not obvious -for example, his argument that the Ark was constructed as sphere, I found at first challenging, then completely logical. On the final page he exhorts us, during our own journeys of discovery, to 'take time to look about. Pay attention. Listen. The Sacred Sphere is all around us.'This is a truly remarkable book, prompting and inspiring other explorers, whatever their background, to seek their own answers to the mysteries of life.
