Matchless and Ajs Restoration by Roy H. Bacon (1989-05-03) Paperback

Excellent and detailed. A wonderful source of information, and very helpful. Covers the design evolution and the detailed changes in the parts in each model year.

This is a fairly nice picture book but it is not in any way a guide to restoration work on any Matchless or AJS Motorcycle. There are no exploded views of components with part numbers or descriptions in the detail and quantity to perform restoration work on these Motorcycles. I have a $12 photocopy of a Matchless Manual that is much better than this $80 picture book.

Bought this for my son, and sadly the delivery was so pathetic amazon. had to send out another copy which very much annoyed me. And somehow, the first copy succeeded in finding its way back to amazon HQ even though it never reached my son. Not impressed but the book is good.

Bought as a gift; recipient loves it. It has proved very useful whilst restoring his own Matchless bike.
