Loved! This series keeps getting better
I found this series accidentally and I’m totally hooked. Luca and Lila are total opposites with undeniable chemistry that Lila is desperately trying to deny. Filled with alpha male charm, a down on her luck heroine, this book is filled with swoony moments and genuine heart. Prepare to fall in love.

In love with this Series!
This is the fourth book I've read in this series, and let me just say, if you haven't read any of these books yet...you need too! Julie Johnson writes a great story! This one focuses on Delilah "Lila" Sinclair, and Luca Buchanan. She's the rich party girl type, who goes through guys faster than her designer shoes. That is until she locks eyes on Luca "Blaze" Buchanan. An MMA fighter who unbeknownst to her, turns out to be friends with her BFF Phoebe's husband Nate. Just one look at Luca, and she knew she needed to stay away from him. She knew he was different from the others, and a one night stand wouldn't be enough. So she made it her mission to avoid him at all costs. Until one day when she needed his help...Luca knew the moment he laid eyes on Lila that she was gonna be his. But it's hard to get close to someone who seems to avoid being wherever you're at. Until one night she calls him to ask for his help. Oh, he'll help her. But if she thinks that he's gonna just leave her alone afterwards, she's got another thing coming. But Lila's struggling with some demons of her own that keep her from getting too close to any man, and she's not gonna let Luca into her heart or her life without a fight. Good thing Luca doesn't back down from a fight. Cause Lila's not going down easy, or willing. But he sees her for who she really is. Not just the facade she shows everyone, including her friends. And he makes it HIS mission to break down all her walls around her heart until she realizes that he's the one man that can calm her storm. If she'll only let him.Loved it! And can't wait to read Shelby and Conor's story next!

Love this series
I've enjoyed reading all the books in the Boston Love Story series, and I'm super happy after finishing this one to realise there is one more book in the series to be released ( hooray! I thought this was the last one ).Take Your Time features Delilah ( Lila ) and Luca as the main characters. Lila portrays herself as being carefree and kind of flighty - she does a good job of hiding her true self even amongst her closest friends. She also steers clear of commitment - she likes to chase the unattainable, then gets bored and moves on to the next guy once she's caught them.Luca is the only person that suspects there is more to Lila than the front she portrays to everyone. She may have been able to fool everyone else, but the chemistry between these 2 means he observes her closely even though she spends a lot of time running in the opposite direction as soon as she is in his presence.Lila is funny, and so strong minded. I enjoyed seeing her and Luca become closer throughout the story.

FYI: Take Your Time may cause serious binge-reading!
I had every intention of reading Take Your Time at a normal, relaxed speed when I sat down to start it. Spoiler alert: it’s pretty much impossible to do that with this book. I tore through it like I was going to lose my ability to read tomorrow.Julie Johnson delivers, yet again, on every single item in the mental checklist for a perfect summertime rom-com read:-Unbelievably sexy, over-the-top alpha that will absolutely melt your heart? Check.-Sassy, witty heroine that you would be BFFs with in a heartbeat? Check.-Playful banter that will make you laugh out loud? Check.-Enough steam to fog up your e-reader? Check.-The perfect trip back to Boston to reminisce with the rest of the gang? Check!Take Your Time was the perfect addition to the Boston Love Series, and I loved every word of it! Whether it’s your first Julie Johnson book or your ninth, you’re sure to enjoy the rollercoaster ride that is Luca & Lila’s relationship.

Enjoyed very much!
I enjoyed every book from this series and this one isn't an exception.Lila and Blaze/Luca have been dancing in circles around each other for the past months. It was really fun to see how it all turned out.To be honest Duncan's (Lila's brother) idea's for businesses are just so ridiculous that you can't even understand how someone would go with it.The night Blaze comes to Lila's rescue is just so damn funny, but also has a sad side to it. Blaze is immediately very bossy *which I always enjoy* and that was so fun to watch unfold because Lila is not the kind of person who lets anyone boss her around. Also I have a really weird bond with sharks they intrigue me and I simple find them beautiful and so it was special to "see" them (view spoiler)I have a real quick question : I read a lot about people being able to see things in peoples eyes, can you truly see somethings in someones eyes? Because then I'm just not that person I'm always in disbelieve I just find it weird.

Entertaining
Let me just say that I love Luca! Nothing like a big brute of a man that is squishy like a marshmallow inside, especially for the woman he loves. He sees Delilah, the broken soul under the tough part girl exterior. This story is witty, entertaining and action packed.

Really Enjoyed it
I really liked this book. Loved the characters and the situations. It was both a funny and sweet read. The will they won't they was drawn out. Any longer and it would have become too frustrating! I would recommend.

Not for me
I enjoyed the first book in this series, but unfortunately I could not get into the characters in this one, they were very shallow and unlikeable, the storyline was practically none existent. Sorry but I won't be reading anymore

Same plot as the previous installments
The fourth book in this series of stand-alone-novels follows the same plot the previous three featured: H and h are attracted to eachother, the heroine’s banter or actions are way over the top, great friends, family or friends are connected to some shady characters, heroine is kidnapped, frees herself, and HEA.Here we have a heroine with TSTL ( too stupid to live: a mental and social disorder whereby an individual lacks the mental aptitude and social skills deemed necessary to become a productive member of society). Lila knows where to shop for the most fashionable handbags and shoes, but fails to think about her livelihood before giving her parents her complete trustfund (why do they need their daughter’s money? They are described as workaholic parents). She cannot hold a job, gets evicted from her apartment, and driving with an expired license she finds herself in prison. Now the caveman type hero sweeps in, saves the damsel in distress, and her life turns to the better. That’s a storyline I have read a thousand times, it is well written, but I expect more. There is no character development, the family background is vague, the brother’s suddenly restored wealth not believable. It was not my cup of tea, maybe it is for other readers.

5+ STARS FOR THIS FANTASTIC ROMCOM/DRAMA
Like many other readers, I've absolutely adored Julie Johnson's A Boston Love Story series, but Take Your Time was the best yet, in my opinion! The book was so cleverly written: funny, sizzling, intimate and romantic. At the same time, it featured friendship, loyalty, tenderness, love and hope. The smart-mouthed banter, fast-paced plot, drama and suspenceful action kept my interest from the first word, till the last. Captivating! The main characters Luca and Delilah were perfectly portrayed: challenging, stubborn and flawed, yet lovable, real and passionate. Lila was a firey, mixed-up, beautiful heroine, who was seemingly independent, detached and spoiled (but, she was actually struggling, vulnerable and afraid). She built an inpenetratable wall of behaviours to protect herself, but Luca called her on it! He saw her! However, she would rather have had her pretty, pink painted fingernails pulled out, than admit she needed a hero. Luca was the ultimate, dream, alpha-hero, who loved Lila's quirks and the challenges she threw down. He was also warm, emotionally intelligent, a man of few words, pragmatic and honest. (And, oh-so besotted with her, as she was with him!) Luca was prepared for the long haul with Lila, but slowly, steadily, he stood his ground and melted her veneer away. She learnt to trust. I think what I loved most about Luca and Lila was their non-verbal communications, but there's so much to love, it's hard to choose. Our beloved and richly gorgeous characters from past stories made appearances, too, making Take Your Time seem like a big, warm happy family, at times.I highly recommend Take Your Time for fans of Julie Johnson or readers who are looking for an excellent RomCom. This is a tricky genre to write successfully, but Julie is a master story-teller! She also writes from the heart, is authentic, insightful, hilarious, reflective and communicative. Perfect!
